That was probably a very tongue-in-cheek comment. ![]()

No, if Patrick is serious it goes against the lore. Thedas does not approve of same sex marriage, especially among nobles, and yet Eamon has two fathers.

I don't know.

I don't think they were married

Then he has one dad and a man his daddy sleeps with. That's how it would be seen in Thedas.

Arl Eamon's blood mother died at child birth and his father met with another man not long after.

Do they have to be married?
I take it as a very positive sign that Bioware/EA is allowing early reviews. That's usually a good sign that they're confident in their property and that it's getting very positive reception.
@PatrickWeekes I made an Iron Bull version! I can still nerd out on DA stuff, right? ![]()
@PatrickWeekes or I can add the picture...

This is not the place for that.
This is a thread discussing tweets the developers at Bioware post about Dragon Age: Inquisition. This is exactly the thread for that.

Then the other man is just his dad's lover. He is not legally or biologically Eamon's second father.

Which does not prevent Eamon for referring to the man as his father. And who knows, the one that's his biological father may not be his legal one (i.e. the one with royal blood, who would likely claim him anyway).
It's highly possible that they are unmarried, and share a willing surrogate. It's a quirk for sure, and probably would have a couple people looking sideways at them, but the Chantry wouldn't get too angry, as they do what they are supposed to: provide an heir.
I should stop coming to the forums not because of spoilers, but because seeing all these awesome vide and pics are sending me into a depression over not being able to play.
I'm not getting the game until two weeks after release due to being on vacation in Hawaii...I'll have to make sure I stay away from the internet entirely :/

*sigh*
This is really not a big deal.
Cool video on why so many people cosplay as BioWare characters. http://kotaku.com/why-cosplayers-love-dressing-up-as-biowares-characters-1654107076/all … #BioFans
...Srsly, people?
A joking comment by a dev turns into this? It's time to take a step back and get some fresh air.
It's part of the charm of the BSN

...But they're not married. Seriously, sleeping with someone does not make them married. In this can the guy is just a concubinus/concubine.
Patrick Weekes @PatrickWeekes
So I got Arl Eamon's father's name wrong in a codex. Old name already existed. We've decided Arl Eamon had two dads.
Wikia-ing your own IP feels like so much cheating though (which is why I do it all the time).
If you don't know your own lore like the back of your hand, you have committed the most terrible sin and are immediately sent to hell.

Do you guys use the DA Wiki as a reference? I would have thought Bioware would have it's own Dark Vault of DA Lore, surrounded by a moat of fan tears...
