I really don't want to make a discussion on this in this thread, but he was perfectly content to die in his cage when you first meet him. As for immediately killing every mage he encounters, what do you base that on? He was alone in a heathen land, even the Arishok didn't make killing mages a priority when he was in Kirkwall for all those years.

It's not his role to hunt or kill mages though, right?  His duty is to find out what the Blight is and help stop it.

Mages are not given the choice to convert to the qun. All captured mages are fed qamek. (World of Thedas, vol. 1, p. 42)

He's a Sten task with recon, not Ben-Hassrath, Tamassran or Arvaarad. And an Qunari do not stray from their assigned role.

I didn't mean to say he'd actually feed it to you, only that he'd have no problem (would probably even think it right), if you were fed qamek.

As far as I know there is a qunari belief that a saarebas without control is easily controlled by demons hence he/she can poison others. Bas saarebases are pretty much "infected" by default and infect others very easily

Though this was mentioned either in DA2 or after DA2 was released on a forum and Sten was created much earlier

Having a duty and being loyal to your beliefs doesn't mean following them blindly

When he said that qunari would come to Thedas he also said that he didn't wish to face Warden on a battlefield. Which by Sten's standards is like saying "I really really care about your but I'm not a big softie. Nonono"

Sadly no. It's all tied to texture quality.

Oh . Well at least there are a number of settings that are separate. What I want to do is get the character details as high as I can while toning down on the rest of the textures so my computer can handle it better.

Negative, that'll just make it seem longer. I've resorted to counting sleeps. It sounds adorable, and has that "well, that's just time I wasn't doing anything with anyway" factor.
