It's unlikely that we'll ever get a Throne of Bhaal style-expansion in future because it was basically a massively pared-down sequel.

@Eudaemonium : Never know... I doubt it too, but considering a lot of there stuff has been influenced with how Skyrim has handled things - not really copying but how its 'changed the face or RPG's. They had 2 rather large expansions. It wouldn't surprise me to much if BioWare released 20 dollar expansions involving a completely new singular open world hub area complete with quests and over arching plot in the area.

 

Personally I'm hoping for some cheap DLC involving new skill trees for more playthroughs.

If you check out the 22min IGN impressions vid on youtube and fastforward to the end you will see a high level vivienne in action. It sold me on the knight enchanter (looks wicked)

To sum up though... The knight enchanter seems to be a hybrid support tank.. . When you attack in melee range the spirit blade generates barrier on yourself. You also have a wicked blink type spell giving you great mobility to get into that melee range. You can fade out of existence (making you invulnerable for 2 secs and can rematerialise inside some enemy causing massive damage and knocking them over. Also you have the only real heal spell in the game. All in all a pretty wicked spec

There's currently a debate going on, right now in social media regarding journalistic ethics in games journalism. The movement was dubbed "GamerGate" by, actor, Adam Baldwin. It was recently found that a lot of games journalists from sites like Kotaku, Polygon, Giant Bomb and the like have been supporting the Patreons of Indie game devs, without making that knowledge public. That's unethical, because it's their jobs to report on video games, including indie games. Also, it's recently been discovered that a lot of the high ranking employees of a handful of the major games journalism sites(again, Kotaku, Giant Bomb, Polygon, etc...) have been part of a secret mailing list on Google+ called "Game Journos Pros," wherein they decided between themselves what kinds of stories were going to be published on all the major game news sites. Some members admitted to the authenticity of the list. Of course, everyone has known that reviews and scores are usually bought and paid for. While the push for higher ethical standards in gaming journalism has been going for quite a while, the movement really got inflammed when it was leaked that Zoe Quinn, indie developer of the free game "Depression Quest," had slept with 5 guys who are involved in the industry, and they never made it known that they had intimate relations with an indie game dev. Of course, the opposition use this fact as a way to derail the conversation by just calling anyone who supports the movement sexists and misogynists who are just shaming Quinn for sleeping around and because she, and someone vocally opposed to the movement have been claiming that they recieved death threats from GGers, forcing us to keep telling them that "it's actually about ethics in games journalism. The Zoe Quinn thing was 1 issue out of many, and no one on our side ever brings her up anymore." The Huffington Post even had an interview with 3 female gamers recently, who had to keep telling the interviewer that it isn't about sexism, but ethics.

Now you know... and knowing is half the battle.

ethics is nonsense? oh, well, okay, I guess we'll just have to make due with bought game reviews and non-game-related-editorials-masquerading-as-news all over game journalism websites, behind-the-scenes collusion, reviewers financially supporting developers, having relationships with them, and accepting gifts from them... You know, game journalism sites being pretty well useless for anything of substance
