That article seems to pretend that the strength of a main story is irrelevant.

All it does it talk about how great the characters are, which is ridiculous because most reviews have praised the characters but critised the plot, which is a critical part of the writing team's purview.

"Sten, what are you doing? Why are you--" "Sten is no longer my title. I am Arishok, and you have been a fool."

Bioware have always been better at character than plot.

(Well, not BG1 maybe)

Then that article is correct. But this thread is not the place to debate it.

Not gonna derail this beyond one comment, but, personally, I've always preferred strong characters to...well, I like a good plot, but I focus more on characters. In the most general sense, plot doesn't change that much from one story to another.

But any further conversation about this deserves its own thread.

This writer indicates that he was impressed with the writing of the story, so it's possible he might not have such a criticism.

And writers might flesh out the plot, but the story beats themselves are no doubt constructed at a higher level and hinge on things like set pieces, encounter types, and the limits of what they want to happen in Inquisition vs. the games that follow. So even if the major beats of the plot are lackluster because of what they are, the writing contained within them can still be good enough, and the characterization strong enough, to overcome a weakly constructed main plot.

(sorry, I did not mean to contribute to a derail)

By that logic, the Europeans are already in on CET.

The UK in 5 minutes.

I read different information to suggest a global simultaneous switch on based on EST.

Guess we'll hear about it soon enough...

The reaction to ME3's ending shows that to be incorrect, but whatever.

The Crestwood bit?

We've known about Crestwood as a region since the very first demo a year ago. Don't watch the stream if you're afraid iof spoilers, but the title of the location is not a spoiler this late in the game.
