Our text to speech seems to be randomly picking accents tonight. Currently on "the Queen Mum."

^ I want to hear this so, so badly.

They should make a blooper reel and add it to the collector's edition, VA goofs, text to speech hijinks, early build fails, etc. I think it would be awesome to see stuff like that.

Still don't regret buying the Collector's Edition and seeing this in my living room with the family.

saw this tweet posted by lola in the cullen thread. don't know if it was posted here yet, or not. but hey, this tweet makes me happy:

Mike Laidlaw: "Watching @davidgaider explore parts of DAIII is illuminating. His "lost" is our gain."

David Gaider: "I wasn't lost! I was meandering aimlessly."

Or he walked through a texture hole and found himself in the Void (aka he found a bug).

Oh, dear. I'm really excited about larger maps but the one good thing with DA2's recycled environments is that I never get lost. For the most part. I'm so directionally challenged in games it's laughable.

Not that I'm suggesting the recycling was good... but at least my boyfriend was able to stay in the room with me without grabbing my controller to navigate for me.

I have just noticed that there were many unused concepts for DA2 that will most likely be used for DA3.

I really like the idea of maps being large enough to actually explore, with plenty of hidden areas and secrets.

I do, too! Though, like nikkylee, I have a terrible sense of direction and get lost very easily. Still, I feel so accomplished when I finally do explore/find everything.

I've noticed in Bioware games that a constant series of left turns tends to work out if I'm feeling really turned around, and I want to make sure I've seen everything.

I'm pathetic.

Me too.  I think it's time I convinced my husband to start playing DA or I may spend a lot of time lost.

Me four. I have a terrible sense of direction in games, though I am looking forward to conquering the bigger maps in the new game.

Plus those companions, they aren't like anything we saw in DA2. It's clearly not a DA2 concept art.

Watch this, it have 2 (3? the warden is rather generic) companions in it that shows up in a bunch of concept arts that people think are for DAI. While I personally believe that they are abandonned concepts from DA2 early days and as such all the concept arts with them in it are DA2 ones and not for DAI.

Ugh, thanks for that blast from the past...

@Mike_Laidlaw @tropetweeter @PatrickWeekes @davidgaider It’s strangely roguelike when it happens from offscreen. “It attacks. You die.”

Text to speech scratch VO has gotta be one of the best parts of game dev playthroughs.

So I'm walking around the DA floor & I get invited to supercool DA meeting showing awesome new stuff. The lesson: get up from my desk more.

I immediately thought of 'lost' as referring to the tv program.  I hardly followed that show but I know it was a big hit.  Anything in it that could be linked to a quest or part of DA?  (Perhaps voice actors as well?)  Remember DG got his first choice of acress for the voice of merrill.

I don't think one-shot the whole party match with slightly overpowered... and from the look of the tweetcusion, they might leave it like that.

@Mike_Laidlaw Just an odd question - You guys ever thought of having the Codex Narrated along artwork for DA - Similar to Mass Effect?

Mike Laidlaw:
@[person] We've considered it, but having a narrator makes it hard to have adaptive entries (I.e. an entry on Alistair's many outcomes)

Please, no!!! I always had to put my tv on mute so I could read the codex entries from Mass Effect. It was extremely annoying hearing an echo of something I've already read just because I wasn't patient enough to read it at the same ultra slow pace of the narrator.

Did that too. If Genitivi read his though, I don't know. But a codex narrator were the last feature to add immersion I think.

I have no sense of direction as well. Hopefully I will more frequently become disoriented in DAI, than I did in DA2, DAA, and DAO.

In regards to "Lost" the tv series, the whole plot meandered aimlessly, and it left it's audience "lost", so... Yeah.

Agreed. For the first few seconds it was like: "Ooooh, narrated codex" and after that "Bah I'll skip it, the narrator is too slow". It really isn't worth the effort.

Sounds almost like DA: I is going to be next-gen only, though take this with a grain of salt. I'm still of the opinion, and I'll say it until BioWare confirms, officially, otherwise, that it is at least going to be cross-gen, simply because the install base for current-gen is far too large to ignore just yet.

Chris Priestly stated in another thread:

"We haven't released any info on Dragon Age Inquisition to anyone yet. Amazon Italy, and anyone else you see, is just guessing.

Edit: It also isn't coming out Jan 1 2020. Just so we're clear. smilie"
