Why does the game has another drm? Wasn't Origin enough, the Keep? Haven't they learned nothing from SecuRom?

You should probably read through the PC Benchmarks thread, if you haven't already.

 

It has not been confirm if the denovu DRM is being used...only suspected. However, until all variables can be eliminated (such as optimized driver support and game patches) it would be premature to worry about whether a potential DRM type is affecting performance. This is assuming denovu DRM is being used.

 

Just wait to see what the drivers and patches can do to improve performance. Apparently, there is already a patch that fixes a few of the VRAM issues with using Mantle.

Bah. This is kind of bumming me out. I shouldn't have to be worried about a freaking game copyright protection ruining my system that's worth several times the money the damn game costs.

You know you're a starving Mass Effect fan when the first thing that pops into your mind here is NME Ark Theory rather than the obvious intended Indy reference.

 

If it's going to literally kill David, though, I'm cool with another direction for the franchise instead.

However, regarding potential performance issues with this DRM, best to wait and see what the new drivers and day 1 patch can bring.

 

Other worries about ruining systems due to DRMs, well that's a whole other can of worms.

I don't understand the technical aspects but given that every youtube or game site comments stream

(inbetween the 'BioWare makes you gay' and other generalised hate)

seems to have 'this looks sh*t but I'll pirate it lol'.

If entitled people think they can steal stuff I don't blame companies trying to stop it.

The game will be out in 3 days and this particular discussion was pretty controlled compared to past times.

 

By berating people for nothing (I made 2 comments on drm, the last one was clearly final) you just add to the OT conversation.
