I think I made that same face at Tampa International last week.
Surreal that Dragon Age: Inquisition is launching this week. Credit to the team - it is everything I'd hoped it would be and more!
Not wanting to jinx anything since DAI hasn't released yet, but I have to give a real kudos to the DAI team and Bioware as a whole. The past few years have been rough, with DA2 and ME3 both getting tough, if somewhat understandable and legitimate criticism from some fans.
The real shining moment, as I listen to the incredible DAI soundtrack, is how Bioware turned around and said ''You know what, let's show our fans what we can really do! '' After over 3 years of development, DAI is looking ready to burst out of the gate, but it's really been a culmination of small decisions (not unlike the games they make actually
) that has led to this moment.
Taking all of that criticism to heart, they are going to put out a game that will no doubt blow the previous 2 Dragon Age games out of the water. The content and game design has been directly influenced by fan feedback, even once development was already well underway (multiple races comes to mind). You could really see the effort, the passion they have put into this game.
After a such a long and tough journey through development, through controversies and hardships, I feel that Bioware's journey is now coming full circle. Like the Inquisitor, they were beaten down by a blast of a magnitude they could have never seen coming. From the ashes of defeat, Bioware vowed to rise again and make things right.
And boy have they. I am proud of what Bioware has become. They have been with me throughout my childhood, through my highs and lows. And now seeing them get such positive reviews from both critics and fans alike, is like seeing an old friend go through a tough time, and finally, out of the darkness, he comes back into the light.
Thank you Bioware ![]()
EDIT: Finally caved in on the hype and pre-ordered the digital deluxe edition on Origin. It was a gift from a family member for helping her with math, her arch nemesis. Well, all aboard the hype train!

If you’re in Edmonton, the folks at Southgate’s EB Games have asked a few of us if we can swing by for the DAI launch starting at 10PM.
I’ll be there. Might even bring a sharpie if you want something signed!
I should clarify: south gate, 10 PM TOMORROW. Tonight I will enjoy a cup of tea, some soft music and the sound of orcs dying. Mordor!

That... is quite something.
It's a 72 card deck.
But...but...but there's 78 cards in a standard tarot deck. 22 for the major arcana, and 14 for each suit of the minor one.

Yeah, I remember there being some talk about this when they first announced it. I can't remember what became of it, but apparently while 78 is the standard, there are other 72 card decks out there...

Thank the Maker for the last decade, then.

I believe the knight cards are ommitted from the lower arcana series in some tarot decks. I'm not sure what the other 2 cards that can be ommitted are.

Is there any news about a day one patch?
There will be one, that's all we know.
3 Days for me i think ![]()
There will be one, that's all we know.
The reviewers said there were still some bugs, so likely they have spent the last couple of post-gold weeks ironing out the last few.
