Sony moved the PS4 digital download of DA:I up by a day in Australia so I get to play in... 22 hours!
*tiny pterodactyl screech*
edit: well, if I can download 45 gb in less than a day.
Congrats to ALL Bioware employees for years of work, that would make my head explode!! ![]()
I'm off to get my retail copy in an hour or so. Hope they extra stocke
A nice pic of Allegra talking to herself from the launch last night.
Josephine and...Josephine? @SimplyAllegra
That's their loss. Not our concerns.
I love single-player. I love MMORPG.

There is way too many random things I remember about Criminal Minds. It is one of my favourite tv shows, but I know way to much about it.

Single-player MMORPG? Best combination!
A single player mmorpg is an rpg. Which is exactly what the game is advertised as
it's like complaining that call of duty didn't meet your expectations because it's a first persob shooter
It's even funnier when you think that less or more all the RPGs in the last 10 years have been called single player MMORPG (I remember the label being thrown at DA:O because it had active skills with cooldowns). I think there is a major disconnect between what some people's interpretation of what a RPG is and what RPG have always have been.

*still hours of waiting for me...*
Hey if anyone would do me the HUGE favor of tweeing someone from Bioware if they have any plans to include a Walk Toggle or Hold to Walk feature for PC users, I'd GREATLY appreciate it. It's killing me that I can't play DA:I because of this huge oversight.
Quick update for those of you who can't play yet. Played for 5 glorious hours last night on PC. Had forgotten to update my graphics card driver or I would have had more play time in. Had one crash that seemed to be resolved by making exceptions for this game in graphics card properties (instead of using defaults). Game is running beautifully on an NVIDIA 760 GTX on high or ultra on all settings. No problems with slow load screens (guess it depends on your mileage - but it is much faster than DAO at release on load screens). Occasional difficulty clicking on things, but may just be me getting used to the control set up (haven't remapped keys yet - preset mapping seems logical so I'm trying it that way).
Anyway, my impression is that THE HYPE IS REAL. Loving it so far. Wish I could speed everyone's copies to them ![]()
Sorrry for the OT EP, still dodging spoilers by sticking to this thread and wanted to give an update for those who were worried about performance issues and bugs.
OH, and my keep import seems to work fine (at least from talking to Varric) - just make sure you click on the 4th card before you hit continue just to make sure you have loaded the keep save for your current character.
I still only have... *checks phone* 45hrs and 34 minutes and then Iget to play! Soooon ![]()
I've been hearing horror stories about the PS3 version, but I dunno. The vids I saw weren't that bad, and I know a lot of people are much more serious about graphics looking perfect than I am. I resigned myself to a much less prettiful version a long time back, though it's a pity about the lack of scars for last-gen. Anyway, getting a lot of conflicting stuff on the PS3 side of the fence. And still several hours of waiting to see for myself.
Signing stuff and talking with fans! EB Games, Complexe Les Ailes (Métro level), 10-4 today! #DAI
Good morning Inquisitors!!! And everyone else too. (U are under our protection) #DAI

One of the coolest things about this launch is seeing all the creative people I respect from other studios and industries enjoy our work.

What about 360? I pre-ordered a PS3 copy and this kinda worries me. If it's worse than the xbox, I'll try to trade it in when I go to pick it up.

Actually hearing the same for both, they seem almost identical from what I hear. Some people think there's a difference in quality whether you use a disc or digital version, but according to which forum you visit, which one is better will be different. Also I've heard some people think console age might make a difference. It's all over the place, so I really have no idea. If it isn't simply personal perception of the way the game looks, I almost wonder if it's a graphics bug.

Ah, that's good to know. I was thinking they'd be about the same, but someone's post in another thread reminded me that PS3 wasn't easy to program with and I remember a lot of ports that had issues (Skyrim *cringe*). This is what worries me the most. Thanks btw for the reply.
On topic: YAY LAUNCH DAY! I literally felt the hours, nay, minutes, nay, seconds pass for this game to finally be here.

Indeed, I've been looking around at forums watching people complain about the graphics while I just wanna play already. I'll play this thing with Final Fantasy 7 lego graphics if I have to, I just neeed it. ![]()
Just met a fan who's an English major and playing DW rogue. I told her about the iambic pentameter in Double Daggers. She's psyched. #DAI
@camharr Curse you and your wonderful terrible dares.
@PatrickWeekes Best thing I did on the project, hands down.
That was not enough sleep. At all. Yet I'm compelled to begin the day
This is going to be exciting!
Today we grapple with a new reality where Dragon Age Inquisition goes from being this thing we're working on to this thing that you can play
(And I'm off to sleep for the day)
today is the first day ever in my entire life that I have hated the fact that I am Scottish -______________-
Well, if you'd gotten independence it could have made a day's difference! I couldn't even vote as I now live in a foreign country - south of the border.
Proud. #DragonAge

It's a real thing that's in my hands now. There it is. Weird. #DragonAgeInquisition #DAI

Damn you satellite internet and your crappy connection through consoles. Got the game, downloaded the game, downloaded the patch, downloaded the extra Deluxe items, connection isn't stable enough for it to connect to the servers. Sat there waiting and waiting just watching the people walk and the little circle to spin.
