I've suspected for a while now that they're behind schedule in development and this long period with no news after announcing the game has nothing to do with wanting to wow us with the reveal and everything to do with the game not being ready to be shown.
Guess we'll find out in a week!
Not really. If the reveal is minor and uninformative then Bioware and their apologists will say E3 was just the teaser. If the reveal is substantive then all it means is they put considerable effort into putting content together for E3, which they've already said they are doing. Even if they announce that the game is indeed coming out this calendar year that means nothing in terms of quality. The devs were conducting the hype train hard before DA2 dropped and no one would accuse that game of having quality to match the hype.

Besides that the only other real obstacle to success will be what other games come out in the same release window as DA3. Perhaps Bioware has been waiting to see when other big-name games come out so they can plan accordingly. Anyway, E3 is just around the corner, so I guess see what happens there. If there's no news after that we should feel free lose our minds, hahahaha.

If literally nothing will satisfy your doubts about the game's quality, even a substantial E3 showing, why follow the marketing for it at all? Why are you still here if you're going to be suspicious of the product no matter what the studio does, says or shows?
Surely you'd save yourself a lot of angst (and typing time) by forgetting about it entirely until a week before it comes out, and checking then? Or waiting for reviews?
You must be at the very least a little bit interested in how the game is shaping up, since you're one of the most frequent posters in this thread. I don't see why anyone would hang around for months posting about something they expect to dislike, or be disappointed by - it seems immensely masochistic.

I've actually heard that the biggest spike of interest in a new game or a new album happens when it leaks.
I'm actually wondering if we'd be as much in the dark as we are now had the survey not leaked, it's hard to imagine they wouldn't even acknowledge the game's existence until a few months before the supposed launch.

They initially said that the hasty announcement had nothing to do with the survey leak(or the Doctors' departure) but in the last few months have admitted that that wasn't true at all.

My satisfaction has nothing to do with anything. I have theorized that the game is behind in development but I realize that nothing can really confirm or deny that at this point. I don't take BioWare's word for much. See my response to Dave, see Priestly admitting that telling lies was part of his job, see the nonsensical lies about ME3's ending, etc. Unless the game comes out calendar 2013 and is a great game then I will hold on to this theory.

The answer is simple, he's a troll with nothing better to do than to try and make everyone else as negative as he is.ElitePinecone wrote...

Don't worry, he just came out of A Storm of Swords. I was like that too.

I'm looking forward to E3, fully expecting in-game footage and some info on how the game plays. I will be very happy knowing just the general feel of things, the atmosphere, art and mechanics. I'll judge the game once it hits the shelves, I can't play it sooner than that anyway so what's the point guessing about it now?
We'll know everything we need to know before we buy the game, and, if we feel that we don't, we'll be grownups and just wait until we do. This, the tweets and trailers and reveals and speculation, it has to be for fun, right? Anything more is just... well, crazy.

Basil's right about one thing - whatever they do show us at E3 won't guarantee a 2013 release nor a high quality game (neither will it prove the opposite). Let's just... manage our expectations and take it for what it is; some new information on a game we think we might enjoy.

Though I have to wonder who on earth is managing that site (which is run by the people who run E3), if they are genuinely just making things up.

I know this is a "positive" rumor, but once again, this is just a rumor, just like all the other DA3 rumors. We have not released any info on the game yet.
I recommend everyone waits until the pre-E3 EA press conference and E3 its self to learn whatever actual details are revealed and then overreact accordingly.

lol! Okay. We'll overreact accordingly then. Besides we gotta limber up for it. You'd be surprised how much agility overreaction requires. Don't wanna pull anything...
