Okay guys.....I'm 3 days in playing on my cruddy laptop (which to be honest I was suprized was even able to RUN the game) that averages about 20 fps (medium settings, except for mesh on high, tessalation on low, and MSAA x2).

 

I have yet to leave the Hinterlands, haven't even gotten all the camps set or the rifts closed  (Shards, Astrariums, notes.....they are all distracting me from the main quest!!!)...this game is HUGE!

 

My new laptop arrives tomorrow.

 

Should I:

1) Play DAI tonight on my cruddy laptop and save the gamefile for this character over to my new laptop tomorrow

2) Not play DAI tonight and start a whole NEW character when I get my new system

 

 

this is assuming I can save the character files over to the new system and continue her mission. Wondering if this is possible?

 

Also, a Fennec fox attacked last night, unprovoked. My character was just standing there, I hear a 'grrrr' and a 'bark', look back at the screen and there is a fox lunging at me. I think a fox pelt hunting spree is in order.

 

 

Edit to add: Very sad that there is no ability in the game to grab a screenshot without having to play in Windowed mode and then go to paint to post (I can't run FRAPs at same time, bogs my comp down too much)

Pressing PrintScrn button (regardless of windowed/fullscreen) should save a png screenshot to a screenshots folder, found at: 

C:\Users\[you]\Documents\BioWare\Dragon Age Inquisition\Screenshots

or similar (can't recall if this path changed between Win7/8/etc)

For what it's worth, I'm running Mantle, and the Print Screen button does save screenshots to the proper folder automatically.
