Oh the usual 'game so buggy did they even bother to test anything' malarkey.::sigh:: So what happened now?
Should I prep the couch so I can hide behind it?

Oh the usual 'game so buggy did they even bother to test anything' malarkey.
In their defense, the game does have some pretty big bugs:
For example, if I leave the game on the title screen too much time, my Pc turns off... You have no idea how worried I was thinking my HW finally gained an expiration date ![]()

Praise the Maker. The game is buggy but not as much as Skyrim. ![]()

My system has always turned off on any game if I left it on the title screen too long.
That's a bug? I thought it was my sleep settings.

After searching everywhere I can see people complaining about cutscenes and dialogue not running much higher than 30fps but I think I have a slightly different issue.... When talking to someone normally where the camera doesn't actually move much if at all, my fps drops from 50/60 down to around 28/30, which causes a kind of audio repetition. For example, I'll talk to Varric at the start of the game and he'll say something like "This isn't going to--This isn't going to work."
This repetition happens in cutscenes too but that's more understandable than when my fps is quite high... I can't see a valid reason during normal dialogue for my fps to drop whatsoever, much less drop by 30 fps and cause this distracting audio bug. Has anybody else experienced this at all? Everybody seems to be lumping the 30fps cutscenes and dialogue bugs into the same pile, but these 20/30 fps drops seem to be the leading cause for me.
It's worth emphasising that these dialogue bugs are not "full conversations" as the camera stays where I left it when I started the dialogue. It's not the cinematic system causing this whatsoever, I'm simply getting fps drops which cause audio repetition to the same effect as that of cutscenes.
EDIT: I also get these fps drops on the main menu (easiest way to test if it's still present) - constant 60 fps but every 10-20 seconds, the fps drops down to around 30 for a fraction of a second causing an animation hitch with the marching mages and templars. This is the exact same issue that's causing the audio glitch for me. It's totally independent of background programs/processes, nvidia control panel/inspector settings, vsync, graphics settings, resolution and audio settings which leads me to believe it's a fundamental problem with the engine (typical from the same engine as Battlefield 4, and we all know how that game's launch went....).
EDIT2: I should also mention I'm using a Gigabyte GTX 970, so could possibly something to do with Nvidia drivers if AMD users aren't experiencing this issue...

Might be a good idea to post that over in Technical Support, I'm not sure if the devs are actively reading this thread...
(Or is there a place on the BSN where they're collecting PC issues? I haven't been following it at all.)

Where was this scene in the game? I never actually encountered it and I talked to the companions all the time.
From DLC - Adventure in the Tavern.
Seriously: This is Render (not from the game).

I didn't get this one, but I got one where everyone but Leliana and Vivi were playing Wicked Grace together, including my Inquisitor, it was awesome.

Sometimes I feel that just calling BSN toxic and staying away from it is a self-fulfilling statement. That isn't to say there won't be toxic individuals (there always is, everywhere), but to brand the forum itself as toxic and leaving it at that, isn't doing the company any favors. They may as well shut it down then. Without employee engagement, worse people people stick around to circlejerk or troll, once good discussions dry up. I see pretty much just Allan and I've seen posts from Gaider and I don't recall much else. I go on other gaming forums and some of them are so overwhelmingly more positive, and I have to (even if I may be biased about it) partially attribute it to developers frequently presenting themselves as people that want discussion about their games - instead of, well, just being silent. That brings more positive people in, drowning out the occasional troll.
(EDIT: Disclaimer - I certainly do know of the abuse that developers get, and do not actually blame any for avoiding communication. I just hope that they realize that the more this is done, the more that positivity peters out and negativity becomes all that is left. There needs to be both sides for a network to form, otherwise it is just a segregated space. I applaud people like David Gaider and Allan Schumacher for at least taking their time to discuss their products, art, and personal opinions with Bioware players, fans, and critics.)
And yes, I've been around during some of the worst times of BSN, including DA2 (mostly just read posts then) and ME3 (participated in discussions then, supported Retake Mass Effect for a couple weeks until it started to behave a bit too ridiculous for me; I wanted ending clarification and detailed developer perspectives, not necessarily as total ending redo!).
That said, I'm glad this thread has slowed the hell down! I can appreciate it more
. Keep it coming. Sorry for the distracting post.

It was the first thing I looked at, everything was disabled. So after double checking my HW, testing other games and having a friend laughing at my face saying "Don't worry, it also happens to me", I came to the conclusion that it was Inquisition ![]()

Hunting rams with Long Shot seems like cheating though. Like fishing with dynamite.
(As an archer I can say, yes, yes it is.)

Yes. So easy to feed the refugees.
I did just kill my first Great Bear in the Emerald Graves. I kind of had to, since I sort of ran right into him. That did hurt a bit. Solas was pretty sure he was the tank while Iron Bull hid behind my arrows. We had ourselves a Stern Discussion afterwards. Once we revived Cole, that is.
I love this game.

Watching players @Twitch stream #DAMP matches on my PS4, iPad, and iPhone. Great way to unwind after a long day :-)
Hearing #DAMP streamers say "I was only going to play 3 matches... But I needed more!" and "I gotta get my daily matches!" made my day :-D
Good to see players discovering how fun, and funny, the Alchemist is in #DAMP. All I can say is, "CHRISTMAS!". You'll see :-)
