I'm very very behind on all this, so excuse me if it has been answered, but has the voice changing glitch been acknowledged by them? Any news on a fix? I'm close to meeting you know who and I don't want my Inquisitor's voice changed.

I do not belive its been fixed yet, at least I have not heared, but the bug occours and changes your Inquisitor's voice into its default voice by race.

So that's why it didn't happen to me. I had the default voice for my race so it stayed as it was.

Stairs take too long.

"Well, Leliana, it's always a pleasure talking to you, but I must go.  Inquisitor, AWAY!"

Haha, and here I thought I was the only one who did this.

I had the default and mine still changed. On PS4.

Level 17 and party wiped on an Emerald Graves Fade rift. Just a friendly reminder that Fear Demons are the a-holes of #DAI

Ugh, those things are annoying.

Barrett Rodych ‏@ForgedPixels

Finally reached Skyhold in #DAI. I imagine I should just resign the rest of the day to exploring it?

Yes, you'll need about that much time.

Derek Hollan ‏@Derek_Hollan

How cool is it that @AlixWiltonRegan, @SimplyAllegra, @MissMikaSimmons, and @RealFPJr take the time to interact on Twitter with #DAI fans?

Yes I know it has not been fixed because it happened to me today lol that's why I was asking. Haven't seen any statement from them, not even that they are looking into it.

@Dragondreamer - I'm about 100 hours in and at just about the same spot.  Was headed to bed last night and went to pick up one last thing in a place not in the Hinterlands and found another thing (not a quest) and spent almost 3 hours exploring it. This game is incredible.  I just keep finding more cool stuff.  And your spoiler thing - Blackwall used it for a long time in my party.

When I finish this playthrough I am truly at a loss for which of my planned characters to play next- there is just so much potential for different inquisitors to do different things.  Even a relatively completionist playthrough  is going to miss things, not to mention diverging paths (and romances) that can be taken.

Sorry for the OT, EP. Still dodging spoilers, just had to share in the spirit of LEAVE THE HINTERLANDS, and go other places and explore them a bit.  I find myself traveling all over for various reasons.  I think I have two areas almost complete (of the 7 I have thus far visited), but something new might pop up even in those two.

So are ANY of them tweeting about the party banter bug that most of us are getting or are they trying to ignore it for as long as possible. There has to be more than that ridiculous response they gave us. Most of us with the glitch don't even want to play anymore missing out on half the content. Can't even describe this feeling right now.

Why didn't I buy GTA 5? After years of excitement waiting, one huge ass bug is ruining the game. Unreal.  <_<

It really make me sad that we kinda all pick that hairstyle for our female inquisitor because they aren't a lot of them that are femine...

Not sure what the "ridiculous response" is referring to, but we are definitely aware of both of these issues and have been looking into them. Also not sure what all we may have responded in any of the many other issue threads besides this one (which are likely more appropriate and more closely monitored for support than a twitter discussion thread).

I'd like to remind everyone that BioWare takes rampant glitches seriously. Just because the cause of the banter/general audio tomfoolery has yet to be identified doesn't mean it won't be remedied as soon as possible. In the meantime, if you've been struck by its ugliness remember to check the OP of my thread on the matter for possible temporary workarounds brought to you by a bunch of really clever forumites I'm simply honored to host.

Sorry if that sounds like advertising or something, I just want to make sure things run smoothly here in the twitter thread.

/topic/528018-party-banter/?hl=%20party%20%20banter

The response that said that their have been "rigorous tests" but everything is "working as intended."

The response that straight up denied this bug.

The response that said your "game records matched the recorded play"

The response that said evidence that people turned in of us getting AT MOST 10 banters and no music throughout the ENTIRE game was "found to be working properly"

The response that implies people with the bug were too stupid to "visit new places" or "switch up party members" or "explore on foot" and that's why we got not banter or music throughout the entire game.

I almost died from the condescension from that post. Seriously. Unbelievable. Can't even play this game anymore.

To be perfectly clear: as I said, we are still looking into this and conducting further testing.

I am providing you with an update on what we have found so far, as well as some general best practices. This doesn't mean that we are not taking your concerns seriously or that we are not looking into this.

This is an update on what we have found to date on an issue we know is near and dear to our community.

I'm sorry if there was any confusion, but please do not misconstrue my message as a dismissal of what you've been telling us.

The most frustrating thing about working in QA is knowing an issue exists but being unable to reproduce it (reliably, or at all), or nail down how/why it happens.

Its simply means they could not reproduce the bugs on their machines. They suggest changing the team compositions because that might fix something, it certainly isn't as patronising as 'have you tried turning it on and off?' Which funnily enough works in most circumstances (that it applies to). So I would say that your adding an interpretation to what is being said, for all intents and purposes to them it is 'working as intended' and the probably find it baffling as to why only certain players are experiencing those bugs.

As Jeff said, maybe try looking at his thread and following the advice fellow forumites have given for a work around.

But...why does this happen?  This is one area of game development I am genuinely curious about in many regards because a bad bug happened to me during Origins and I went on Facebook and positively hammered it and the game and was just in a seething rage about it for like an hour until one or two of my friends talked me down from the Abyss and mentioned, a few things, and I agreed with their logic so I quickly made peace.  But...isn't the game the same pretty much, same software, code, etc?  I am just curious and will understand if I do not get an answer on it for it being too long and technical.

But not the same hardware, not the same SO, not the same drivers and not the same configurations. Those things do have an impact on how well the game works, and because of them, some people may have one kind of bugs, while others won't even know they exist.

In my case, I haven't seen any anomalies on dialogue and music, the only big bugs I had so far were a couple of fps drops at the prologue and the whole "Shutting down if left on title screen too much time" thing.

Indeed, same software/code, but every session anyone plays is going to be different, one of thousands of permutations of which party members to bring in which order to which location at which point of the plot... (just as a random example). While some game systems can be deterministic and reliable, many more have a lot of complexity and randomness to them which compounds difficulty in reproducing or ever seeing obscure bugs.

And as Chala mentions, that's even before the vast variety of PC performance specs & differences out there that add to the compounding mix. If I had a nickel for every bug I've filed that's relied on the timing of a single frame...

Well, I'd have a few bucks at least. /rich

Welp, guess that means that I shouldn't expect any twitter responses actually addressing this issue. What's pissing most people off about the entire response is that it says they looked at evidence that people sent in and then denied it was a problem and said it was "working as intended" STILL. WITH EVIDENCE. I don't see how that's even POSSIBLE unless they deny it's a bug. And then gave a number of bs issues that may stem from us.

Battlefield had this same issue using Frostbite 3 and it was never fixed. Guess I should expect the same with Inquisition. Another video game I won't ever be able to play after YEARS  of hype and waiting. How lovely.

On the slim chance that we actually get a fix: a moment of silence for the people without internet who basically payed full price for a demo and won't be able to get the fix. Been lurking on this thread and following dev since the beginning and now it looks like I can't play it. Another Battlefield. Loving the direction this industry is going in.
