I've seen some people critique that it was bad design because they didn't know they could leave the Hinterlands and come back.

Ha. That there's a huge dragon ready to turn you party into a four-person serving of flaming pot roast

might be a hint that the Hinterlands is not going to be cleared in one visit.

 

For any large group of gamers there will be some who are bemused that the game does not lead them linearly through the main story

('I don't know what to do now') and on the other side some who are frustrated not to have more complexity in stats, questing and puzzles
('everything is dumbed down').

 

For many, critique is not an objective assessment process, it is simply 'the game is not designed for me personally / I don't like it'.

 

We might (and have) discuss(ed) some aspects of DAI that could be refined in DLC/DA4.

 

But BioWare can't be expected to satisfy both those who desire old school hardcore RPG (non-voiced protagonist and all) as well as those whose gaming expectations are shaped by Candy Crush and Flappy Bird.

That Dorian looks like one of the French muskateers. Not that I'm complaining. Those facial features and the facial hair are hot. Rawr.

 

Also I like that style for Sera. It was on some other concept art for Inquisition I believe as well. I wonder why they scrapped it.

The elf looks too well groomed for the personality of Sera. "I don't give a monkey's what you think of how I look!" seems to sum it up. In fact, that seems to sum her up in general, and that is why I like her so much.

 

(The portrait would make a good elven Inquisitor though.)

DAI Nightmare playthrough continues (albeit slowly as I start next Loch book). Learned that no, level 15 is not high enough for Vinsomer.

I can only rationalise this question as being addressed to my Inquisitor

who needs a break after that business with Corypheus.

 

Definitely Crestwood for the fresh air and the bird life.

A few days at the Rusted Horn on the dam would be nice.

 

Ah and if there's no pic, it didn't happen,
