Free Marches? Duh. Kirkwall alone irked me. Trevelyan and Lavellan are marchers so decent probability. I want to see the splendor of Starkhaven but no Sebastian. Just no.

Is that right? I was wondering where the hell he'd gotten off to. My first playthrough I sided with the mages. Second time it was templars, but no Barris to be found.

Done it twice now. No Ser Barris. If you're building a NWO you want guys like him, but not organisations of the old order like the Templars. It's disappointing.

Both times Barris has been alive for the ending scene, so I presume he's still alive. Plus I was under the impression it was 50%?

I don't believe so. He was standing around when I made the big decision at the end. Plus this second playthrough has been on casual, so it'd be strange if I let the barrier get that low.

 

Where does he hang out at Skyhold?

He never shows up around Skyhold, but if he is alive at the end of Champions of the Just, you have recruited him.He does have a part in some of the war table operations and after completing those you can promote him to Knight-Commander.

You can let it go down to half (I always did) just the first time one of your companions says I hear fighting, you need to run back.

Sigh... Not this again.
You will get Ser Barris as a agent if he is alive, it doesnt matter if you conscript or ally with them.
You can have his war table missions if you conscript or ally with them, but his war table is bugged and may not appear if you conscript the Templars.

I see. Didn't realize. So I've no idea, he certainly hasn't come up in any of the operations. I'll check to see if he's an agent.

See this is one of my minor gripes with the game that your War Table assets really did not effect your game play or really vice versa, the War Tbale for all its brilliance usually felt pretty seperate from the game itself.  It would have been awesome, if Ser Barras really does have vital intelligence on the Red Templars for you to get a damage bonus against hem or for your soldiers to be better at missions involving Red Templars...there are a few I can think of.

They made it far too easy for him to die and that's not cool, BioWare. Not cool at all!

 

I saved him on my third pt, though. Ser Barris is life, Ser Barris is love.
