Enchantment? Enchantment.
I dare say, my good man. I think you're on to so- ENCHANTMENT
wait is that a hint that he's coming back for DLC? Please! And that we can do quests to get Sandal and Dagna to fall in love, and have goofy awesome enchantment stuff together?

HERE WE GO LADIES. "@TreehouseStores: A sneak peek for our lady Inquisitors... #DragonAgeInquisition
I think we also know that there won't be a racial schematic image.
What do you mean?
Do you want to blow up Skyhold? Are you mad?
BOOM!
The funniest thing to me is everyone goes on and on about not having enough large and varied environments and now everyone's going on and on about having too many varied large environments.
Trying to please you guys must be exhausting.
The challenge of frankly having a large and diverse group of fans.
Some may love our games for only a small subset of game features, and depending on how we do with those features and which directions we move in will either be supported and derided by any individual. Easiest example is the dialogue wheel, where those that prefer it talked about other things after DA2, while those that preferred DAO are upset that we moved away from it and are now focusing on that. In both cases I get feedback "why is there (no) dialogue wheel?" Good chance they probably aren't coming from the same particularly individuals.

Well pleasing some of us is exhausting.
On the flip side though I liked both Kirkwall and Inquisition's multi region world. So does this mean I am easy to please?

I had a problem with DA2's tiny, undetailed, and infinitely reused maps but at least there were some decent quests included alongside torn pantaloons fetch quests. Now there are huge beautiful and detailed maps, but my problem isn't that they are huge, detailed, and beautiful, my problem is that they're empty and lifeless with nothing fun to do. I don't consider fetching bear claws, killing 5 bandits, picking up rocks, etc...as fun and those things shouldn't have been the sole reason to be in a zone.
True. The challenge of frankly having a large and diverse group of fans.

True.
The balance then, is that the devs must create a game that pleases, challenges and inspires THEM and hope most people like most of the things about it, because you're never going to please everyone anyway. At the end of the day they just have to be happy they created something they love.
I think the team clearly has made such a product and that's why I hope they don't pay too much attention to the unproductive negativity.
I'm proud of the game. Is it my perfect game? Probably not. But it's the first Dragon Age game I played after release. There's a mix because I still have to recognize that "the perfect game for Allan" may not be a viable product, but I think there's a wide range of audiences and interest out there.
I really enjoyed the fascinating post mortem Polygon had with Jake Solomon (and Sid Meier) after XCOM was released ![]()

That's a very enlightening article. This was my favorite quote:I'm proud of the game. Is it my perfect game? Probably not. But it's the first Dragon Age game I played after release. I still have trouble wrapping my head around the idea of working on a *single* project... for years. Then having to put it out there to be scrutinized by millions.

I imagine launch involves a lot of alcohol for the devs so they can calm the nerves.
Then the drunk calls to EA asking for them to fund a large jumping castles start.
I still have trouble wrapping my head around the idea of working on a *single* project... for years. Then having to put it out there to be scrutinized by millions.
And then have millions of people claim you rushed it or intentionally sabatoaged it.
