I wonder if, should they require a third printing, the World of Tedas book will incorporate those.

Also, I wonder if Ganders and Arishonk have eggs up there on the roof. ;)

I think Ben Gelinas said a little while ago that he managed to sneak in some fixes for the second printing, against a tight deadline. I didn't even notice any of them in the first one :P

EA mentioned a while back that they were going to discuss their plans for the future of Star Wars at E3. Probably won't get any solid release dates, but for sure what they intend to do with established franchises (KOTOR, Battlefront, The Force Unleashed) and possible new, future endeavors. Maybe mention a new partnership with TT Games for LEGO Star Wars The Old Republic or something.

EDIT: Found a link from Joystiq about it... http://www.joystiq.c...rs-plans-at-e3/

Why does DA barely ever get mentioned by EA? Is it REALLY that unknown?

Don't forget, DA:I hasn't been officially announced yet. EA won't talk about it until then.

Or EA believe a BW title doesn't have the same pull it used to.

OMG. Brother Genitivi makes me so mad. :P

(But, "I’m not sure what my peer was drinking when he wrote this one," made me laugh. Cool lore book, too. I've been reading it very slowly.)

I like the faqs on gamefaqs. I don't take what is said on the boards as factual to br taken seriously. Split Infinity the faq writer and some of his friends started a flamewar with me over FFXII several years back. Not one of my most enjoyable experiences. It was toxic. rotfl.
Along comes a spider. Sorry Morgan Freeman won't be voicing the Maker anytime soon. Rotfl. The Examiner online reported Chris Priestly tweeted about something scarier than the spiders. The spiders didn't scare me. I killed a black widow spider when I was 17 or 18. Big glistening black with a very red hour glass on its belly. A long time ago. The Deep Roads around Kal Sharok might be very dangerous but I doubt Bioware can come up with any monsters that can scare us. Right fellas ? Rotfl.

It's been announced. There's still the blog post by Mark Darrah up on the DA2 site where it was first offically announced, if you want to check it out (assuming you weren't already familiar with it).
The game just hasn't actually been "revealed" (i.e. shown off) yet.

While I wholeheartedly appreciate everyone updating all the tweets in a single place, I'm confused as to why they are treated as news. Or why "reporters" take a single, inconsequential tweet and turn it into a fluffed up "news" article that is 2 pages long. It's frustrating to search for actual news on the game and find that sort of stuff. The game devs are humans just like us and I their tweets are human like ours lol. I am as rabid a fan as any on SprintReviewDay, but I suppose I am just griping about the tendency for people to overthink a simple 140 character post.

EA also had the announcement on their official site. The game was announced 9 months ago, but that was premature. Their hand was forced because of the leaked survey and the Doctors' departure*. EA hasn't had anything to show.

*Though the Doctors' retirement would have likely been known within the company months in advance so the survey leak is almost certainly the primary culprit

There really hasn't been much news. Aside from the leaked survey and a presentation at a convention last year the most news we've gotten is tidbits here and there. The vast majority of Inquisition talk from BioWare has been entirely inconsequential.

I kind of wonder if retailers like GameStop will be able to start taking pre-orders when the DA:I info is revealed.

I start a new job on the 10th - I just hope I can remember what will be discussed at orientation and I won't check my watch too many times!! Image IPB

I think it's fun to over think  and over examine every single tweet here in this thread on the BSN... but I also agree that it's silly and kind of stupid to try to base whole articles off of tweets and other off-hand, non-official comments.  Luckily, we will be getting some real data soon.  I do hope the silly, teasing tweets don't stop with the reveal, however.  ^_^

I would definitely stick with the mainstream gaming news sources, since websites that base their news on tweets - apart from being pretty annoying and inaccurate - aren't likely to have many big scoops. Bigger sites have sources and contacts that have actual information, and any significant news will end up there anyway.

The reason The Examiner writes those articles is to get clicks from people desperate for DA3 news - to the point where it'll put the name of the game (and "Mass Effect 4") in unrelated headlines about other EA news. Comments from a developer on a game forum probably don't warrant the level of attention that some websites give them, but they're only doing it because having any news that people will click on is ad revenue.

(That's not to say posts by Cameron/Blair/Chris etc aren't interesting, but they're not mind-blowingly huge, and if they're covered at all I'd expect it to be on blogs or fan sites and not as paid "journalism")

DA3 gets a mention on GameTrailers at the 7:25 mark, but doesn't show any new footage. Instead it shows the letter from Mark Darrah.

The narrative also mentions that DA3 is open world like Skyrim. No way to know how accurate that statement is until the devs say something about it.

Yeah, not too sure about how accurate that is. I vaguely remember they mentioned that they HOPED to use Skyrim for inspiration as far as open world goes, but I dunno. I'd be happy if they have individualized maps, to be honest. lol And, yes, have it on 360 would be nice. But now that I know there is a remake of the first Fable coming, I'll be ok if it doesn't. I don't see how they WOULDN'T bring it to current gen, with that large of an install base waiting, but I could be wrong. lol

EDIT: Maybe this can clear up the open world comments...

There's a remake of the first Fable?  I loved Fable when it first came out. (Could you post a link to that information? )

I think the original statement was that they were looking at Skyrim's exploration and sense of scale, "a more open world", not necessarily *the* open world as it works in that game.

In fact, Jonathan Perry has suggested that one level in DA3 is as big as all of DA2's levels. This certainly implies that Inquisition has discreet area levels and individual maps, there'd be no sense in distinguishing 'one level' otherwise.
