Cassandra unique passive ability: TL;DR

 

Book weapons no longer do any damage to Cassandra, she gains full guard in a radius around a book wielding enemy, and she enters a unique berserk mode.

 

Con: If Varric is in party, he is afflicted by "Paralyzing Fear"
