Well due to having no money, looks like its about time for me to disappear from BSN again since I won't be able to get the DLC even in a month
i'm a little concerned on what that means..hell it ignores the 360 owners as well. HOW can you not discuss it when half of your player base can't play the dlc? That's a BS response if you ask me. I hope that doesn't mean it's another month like COD dlc.
They can't talk about it because Microsoft has exclusivity, but no where have we ever been told how long that exclusivity is, that was probably one of the stipulations in the deal they made with EA

Release a piece of work with no prior warning, leaks or publicity.

It will probably be a significant part of musical history that will be cited in the future. I wouldn't be TOO happy about being ignorant of that....which is moot anyway, because now you know. ![]()

I'm happy about being ignorant of pretty much anything pertaining to her, and I couldn't care less about that type of musical history, but ok

Whats there to discuss? Its a deal for money, it happens all the time in the industry. Plus we knew about the deal well before the game was released and it was discussed to death then.

Wait, what? They're releasing a singleplayer dlc tomorrow with zero advertising beforehand? What's going on? o.O Is this part of their exclusivity agreement?

The DLC is for sure, but not advertising before hand might of just been them messing with people or something

yes they are releasing a singleplayer dlc trailer and singleplayer dlc tomorrow
they are releasing the singleplayer dlc with 0.5-1 days advertizing i guess technically
most people seem to be saying it's to do with the agreement and various lockdowns on what they can share that they've been put under.

I understand but they could have said it better and gave a better reason, instead of what we got. I'm sure the devs don't like this any better then we do. Hell the marketing for post release content has been awful we still don't know about the 'free' black emporium content. It wouldn't surprise me at this rate if we have to pay for it now.

Dlc doesn't really get advertising that I can remember. Usually just a hey this will be out in a month. Lol
They have for most of the prior games DLC...

How much is this gonna cost me? I need to properly ease my husband into it.
The upside of this timed exclusivity is that I'll have more time to scrape together the money for the dlc.

I can't even make myself excited cause what's the point? I have to wait 1+ months, avoiding all spoilers and everyone else's' gushing... And don't even get the decency of being told when I can give them money. BU
Meh... Still weird there was no advertising!

Nothing ruins excitement for a DLC than being the only next gen who doesn't get it right away.

Agreed. I've known about this time-released exclusivity since E3 last year... doesn't matter it was announced beforehand, though, because IT STILL HURTS TODAY, RIGHT NOW.
I literally have zero excitement level because of it, just sadness and disappointment. That's... not a good reaction. DAI DLC? I should be jumping through the roof with excitement and posting about it all over Facebook, Twitter, etc.
Instead, the only thing I want to know is for how long we have to wait, but they can't say that. THAT'S what makes it hurt. That and seeing all my friends being happy and elated, while I'm left alone in the dark feeling "meh".
It could be a week, which is fine. It could be a month, which is awful. It could be even longer... we just don't know.
And I'm already tired of seeing people say, "Well, you knew about it ahead of time, so what's the big deal?" Knowing an unpleasant thing is coming doesn't take the unpleasantness out of it when the moment comes, you know. "Hey, you've got to get a tooth pulled at the dentist in 6 months." When that 6 months passes, should I... not be unhappy that I'm getting my tooth pulled?

The only thing that would make this day better is if it only went to xbox one users so I could gloat properly. I was all set up to be infuriatingly smug about it. Oh well.
Oi! SHHH!
I'd really like to know how much it's going to cost as well. Or get more info about it. Is it like just an added Keep? Before or after the main story? Etcetc.

... IT STILL HURTS TODAY, RIGHT NOW. ...
It's sad to read your pain.
I'm no fan of the console restrictions, I suspect there will be more such deals in this console generation.
Microsoft seems particularly keen to pull back a little momentum from Sony - I saw the forums for Rise of the Tomb Raider erupt when that went exclusive... ![]()
And such deals often fund development and 'de-risk' dlc or entire games.
For console purchasers the choice remains a tricky one, both when to adopt and which platform to choose,
then you hope you back the right horse for the games you want to play.
Whilst I'm pleased to be on the right side of the fence for Tomb Raider and DAI, Last of Us and Bloodborne are fully excluded from me.
But the logic doesn't ease the pain ![]()

I need a price and I need to know if it's post end game or not so I can properly prepare my party and save.
Also, I'm thinking I'm going to color coordinate my party in soft blues and whites. Appropriate for a winter themed DLC.
