I feel bad for the devs: they're not responsible for what is ultimately a marketing stunt between EA and Microsoft; but they're still going to cop all the abuse and criticism from people who are pretty rightfully upset.
And they can't even tell us when it's going to be released because the exclusivity period is confidential.
It's a stupid situation and I'm a bit baffled that EA are doing it, given how much they've tried to redeem their reputation recently.
I'm pretty sure people are going to forget about that soon. All of Skyrim's DLC was timed exclusive, but it was good enough that no one bore grudges ultimately. I agree that it's stupid, but if we had to rattle off all the stupid practices in this industry we could make another 3 000 pages thread easily.
Now, with that said it remains to be seen if Jaws of Hakkon will see the same reception. For 15$ I'm expecting at least 7-8 hours of content, including some amount, story, lore and unique banter. Citadel was worth 15$, Omega was most definitely not.
