Basilk carbo is going to be our DAI expert. shrugs. If the voice sound the same regardless of where the protagonist comes from it'll give the fans a reason to be unhappy right as the game starts.....and more reasons for Ninja Stan to close threads. shrugs. End of line anyone? We'll see.

You're just assuming that we can play as an Orlesian. There's no legitimate reason to make that assumption.

So are we adding "E3", "preview", and "reveal" to the list of drinking game words or are we afraid of alcohol poisoning?

I said there are alleged multiple human origins for the protagonist . it wouln't make sense for them to all sound the same Orlais or no Orlais . shrugs. I don't really care anymore. Supposedly Gaider commented about the french sounding voices. Some fans want to be contrary with you don't know this statements. Even after the 10th we won't know everything until the game is released. No harm in speculating about what makes sense even if after the game comes out we learn it isn't true.

Yes, they've mentioned selectable backgrounds for our PC. No, there is no reason to suspect we'll get different voices for different backgrounds. Shepard only has 1 voice(per gender) even though he or she can be several entirely different people from entirely different upbringings and planets(literally). The PC has more dialogue than every other character even without taking multiple responses in conversations into account. Expecting each gender to have multiple accents to choose from is not realistic.

Regarding the selectable backgrounds, it would be cool if, even though we can't play the origin, there was a sort of cut-scene that showed where we came from.

I found something:

Chris Pickford: The last capture. http://t.co/uDFCP7oFmP

Here's the picture that came with it:

If you zoom in on the pic and look at the dude on his computer at the far end of the room you'll see something interesting on his monitor.

Looks like 2 figures that might be slightly reminiscent of some of the characters from the leak(the presumed male and female PCs) and some exaggerated shadows of wolves or beasts of some kind. Hard to tell really.

Not all of us have played Mass Effect. I haven't . With the poor job done with the PS3 port and all the controversies surrounding the games I might never play them shrugs. I think it's unrealistic to cite Shepard as an example. A better one might be developed from using historical figures from different backgrounds who spoke English but didn't sound the same. Basilik likes to be contrary . Have it your way pal. shrugs.

That's what I was thinking too. I guess it's supposed to symbolise something? Maybe the bird symbolises the mages new freedom after being trapped in a cage (like birds), and the wolf symbolises the templars hunting down their prey (the mages).

... Or it's just supposed to look pretty? *Shrugs*

The left one looks like a bird to me, right one a wolf or dragon. Some sort of beasts anyway.

You can't see it? Chances are I'm completely wrong anyway, but it encourages speculation.

Well I saw the wolf/dragon and the stick figure, I guess the thing behind the stick figure could be some kind of bird... or the Architect.

You don't need to play them to know that Shepard's accent is the same regardless of the backgrounds (Earthborn, Colonist, and Spacer). Youtube will suffice. And the only ported game is ME1. It had a few glitches (such as a few NPC's disappearing during cutscenes) but they were few and far between. Nothing that broke the game. It was ported quite well and I enjoyed it immensely (the final battle was breathtaking). It's still an amazing trilogy that has quite a few scraps and bruises and by the end, fell flat on its face but an amazing trilogy nonetheless.

Anyway, I agree with Basil, if I know Bioware and by Bioware I mean the DA team, I don't think they will only give us three background choices. Imagine if there were six to choose from (a stretch but a girl can dream) and if we take Bioware's word, these backgrounds will play a much bigger role than "Hey! I remember you and now we will never speak again!" route. I hope. But I digress. If there are six then imagine the voice actress/actor changing their accent to reflect different kingdoms. It can be tiresome, expensive and time-consuming.

Of course, the Tevinters, Fereldens, some Rivainians and Kirwallers sound English while Nevarrans and Orleasians sound French so who knows. In my honest opinion, I want the PC to be Orleasian with a nice French accent. I'm tired of Ferelden. Let's move on.

It looked like 2 dragons in the back. Maybe dragon statues, or something.

I wanna say Flemeth on the left..the head gear. looks like some horn type stuff arching up. And...someone w/ a long coat tail on the right. It looks like a guy...

that's all i got.

the last capture, tho? Good.

edit: maybe one was even a griffon head. on the left?
