Jaws of Hakkon has the dialog count of an exploration area and a crit path area together. Goal was to tie story into the explorable space

From the Kotaku Q&A, thought I'd share it here:
Q: I'm not the only one, but I will also ask about the timed exclusive DLC.

Since gamers who get the short end of the stick are justifiably annoyed about timed exclusive DLC, what would you say to those who are thinking about boycotting purchasing the DLC completely? That's really the only legitimate form of protest they have available to them.

Aaryn Flynn: Great question - I was expecting it

Jaws of Hakkon is a timed exclusive for the Xbox One and PC (through Origin). This approach allowed for a lot of support from Microsoft and Origin in launching the DLC, so did have that benefit for the team, and we appreciate the partnership. However, as a timed exclusive, it is definitely coming to the game's other platforms, and based on our internal discussions I expect we'll be announcing more details next week.
I hope no one boycotts the purchase, as it's a pretty fun adventure that WILL be available on all platforms. That said, everyone is free to vote / message / communicate how they feel, so if that happens it happens. We're definitely paying attention.

Q: 1. Any hints that the Warden (origins character) will show up in future DLC?

2. Any chance we will hear from or The Architect (if he survived your encounter) in future DLC?

3. Any chance in future games you will allow romances with previously romanced characters, if they haven't romanced your other characters in the past?

4. Also seeing as I and many other fans on here are fans since Kotor, and remasters are the thing of the day for the new generation it seems, and since EA is partnered with Disney for Star Wars games, any chance/mumblings around Bioware of a KOTOR remaster, or an actual third sequel/SW game in a different timeline similar to KOTOR??? (I want another single player RPG not an MMO)

5. Will all the DLC for Dragon Age be Xbox One & PC first and us PS4 and other systems have to wait?

Big fan, love your games!

MD: 3. No we likely will not allow previous romance options to be romance options in future games. 
ML: 1. Pretty unlikely, which I know disappoints some folks, but I have some pretty serious concerns about making a character who had no voice suddenly have one. It feels as if it will be dissonant. The Warden is and was an awesome character, and I don't want to risk "wrecking" those memories, even unintentionally.

MD: Maybe. She is a multi-state character (as in she might be dead)

That's a strike against her returning but doesn't rule it out.

ML: "Stuff I'd like to improve: I'm happy that we found some kind of balance between open-world and story-focused gameplay, but I don't think we hit the right balance, necessarily. Definitely work to do there. I'm happier with the way story integrates into the Hakkon area, though, so that's a start.

 

Also, now that we've got our feet back under us (never, ever underestimate how painful/time intensive changing your fundamental engine technology can be), I'd like to broaden some of the player roles and abilities again to allow for more hybrids, sure, but more importantly, to allow for more interesting decisions in party composition, character creation and so on."

 

That's an interesting piece. I literally can't wait for the next Dragon Age game.
