The Dragon Slayer Chest guaranteed one of the three new characters, but who you got was luck of the draw.

 

I, too, got Isabela, but my friend got Skywatcher, for example.

Actually, this isn't entirely true. I've entered the BE as a 16th level mage and as a 27th level mage and I noticed that I didn't have access to dragon crafting materials at level 16 or a few of the high-end (but not legendary) schematics.

It's been quite a few months since the game's been out so they probably thought that those who will be on the lookout for the black emporium dlc will probably already be further enough in the game to know.

Is that why I didn't find any Snowfleur (sp?) leather for my level 12 mage that just got into Skyhold? Or is that leather not there at all?

 

Edit: Going to BE and seeing how you can't see how much armor the new schematics give you makes me wish there was a smithing option there. Can't tell if my end game characters need the schematics at all and I don't have enough gold to buy multiple stuff.

I already did. But that was really lame on their part. I am 50hrs into game and still in Hinterlands. I go to the mission table, see the Black Emporium shiny thing, click on it and BAM! right in my face
