I’m not fussed either way but it is clear that for a part of the fandom they need to draw a line under the entire thing once and for all, whether that is by the HOF dying in their quest or via something else, otherwise this 'hof needs to come back' thing is going to go on until the end of the dragon age franchise.

I seem to remember that they did say in the Kotaku Q&A session a while back that they liked how GTA V allowed you to switch between multiple protagonists and it was something they would like to look in to in future games. Could be a way for them to sort things out with the warden once and for all so they don’t have to repeat themselves every few months saying ‘the wardens story is over’ and satisfy all the people wanting to play as their warden one last time.
KotOR let you play without the main protagonist in the party (in a limited fashion). So did DAO.
It could work.

I gave the Dragon plenty of opportunity to destroy Orlais, it didn't. Perhaps if I drew a map... The dragon could have improved the place TBH.

DA4 is said to be in northern Thedas according to the devs.
Where/when did they say this?
I've been speculating that the next game would be set in Tevinter, the eastern part of the Anderfels, and Par Vollen but it was just an intelligent guess based on the information and apparent story trajectory in DAI.

I believe they’ve said in multiple interviews that they want to move away from southern Thedas in the next game. They haven’t said explicitly where it’s going to be set but most people are banking on it being set in Tevinter.

For what it's worth (and that's absolutely nothing) my entirely imaginary money is on Seheron. Contested territory between Tevinter and the Qunari with Fog Warriors on the side and the local population stuck in the middle sounds like rich territory for a PC to poke around in.

Mike Laidlaw: "I would say we've covered most of the South, I think we've covered the Chantry enough. But I do want to look more toward the North, I want to see what happens to nations like Tevinter, and Rivain, and do more with the Qunari."

Tevinter no doubt. Anderfels too? There's so much hints about Warden Civil War.

#DragonAgeInquisition FACT - @PatrickWeekes pitched The Everite Bull 3 times before caving in ... (elfroot bull was NOT on the table)
Patrick Weekes @PatrickWeekes
It would have worked!
Crystal Grace Bull is a beautiful image, though.

"The Everite Bull" sounds too 1950's to me. I'd have went with The Veridium Bull, or Bull Vitriol, or maybe The Serault Infused Glass Bull.
(Maybe it's for the best I'm not in a position to pitch character names...)

I know I'm probably the only one but I'd rather visit anywhere other than Tevinter in the next game. Seheron, Par Vollen, Rivain, Antiva, Nevarra or the Anderfells preferably. I've had enough of Orlesians treating me like scum without the Imperium getting in on the act. I'd rather be far from civilisation as well. I'd rather not have Minrathous as a shopping destination that you can just visit like it was the corner shop.
