The grand prize is a draw that everyone who enters the contest is entered into. Maybe that's what they're talking about? I thought the same thing as you that the prizes would go in an instant and it wasn't worth the effort. Also those clues are bloody cryptic and I probably couldn't figure them out anyway

Well, for the hell of it, I submitted my entry.
There were a couple I had to dig up old Codex entries to find, but I think I got them all... It helped to have done 4 completionist playthroughs so I knew where most of the stuff was.

I'd bet good money on Tervinter/Weissaupt(if not more Anderfels)/Seheron for DA4.
They've hinted about as much as they can in Inquisition without outright saying it.
