I did find it unusual that they are recording multiple bard songs. That seems like a lot for one piece of DLC.
Maybe they're not recording just for one but for multiple DLCs. They probably have an idea about what they want to put in them so they can plan ahead. If they got Elisaveta once and they weren't sure they would be able to get her multiple times to record for every single DLC, logic would dictate they record everything in once session. But exactly how many songs did she record? Did she give an exact number or just a heads up? If it's two, maybe three, it could be possible they are all for one piece of DLC.
Yes she did - she recorded 5 songs.

That does sound like a lot for a JoH-sized DLC. Still don't know about them being for just one DLC, though. I'll stay skeptical until we know more, would be very nice to have a larger expansion though, as long as it's not made longer just because of side quests that don't bring much.
Disappointing the "answer" to that expansion question from a source like IGN turned out to be speculation, but I guess it's no different from sportscasters killing 20 minutes between periods of a hockey game by trying to telepathically determine who the 3 Stars are going to be and what the coaches are saying to their teams in the locker room. I still think there's a chance (Awakening can't have been that unprofitable if they started an expansion for DA2 and got far enough to announce a title, etc.), but a few weeks ago I also thought there was a slight chance of seeing the Warden in DLC and a good chance of a hairstyle "item pack" DLC. ![]()
I recall there was some interview post-DA:I that made it sound like Bioware had changed their mind on the "no expansion" talk beforehand. DA:I doing well may have changed things significantly. DA2 was originally going to have an expansion that got axed, maybe DA:I is the reverse? Of course, we won't know for sure until/if it happens. Whatever they're cooking certainly sounds more involved than the JoH content, which is very intriguing. Tho it could also be something like a content expansion for Skyhold, which would be welcome, but definitely not a full expansion sort of thing.

Well, they might as well create an "expansion-sized" DLC.... I mean, aren't these two terms frequently used interchangeably nowadays?
Expansion's just the word devs use when they want to appeal to fan nostalgia.
Well there you go. We may yet see something sizable then ![]()
I like how everyone is assuming all the new bard songs are for a single DLC. The dev’s will be working on multiple DLC at once, all of them at various stages of development. They’re most likely just getting all the audio assets recorded ASAP to make things easier further down the line.

Even IF these songs aren't for one big DLC, I think it's not unreasonable to assume that the next one will be bigger than JOH. I mean, JOH didn't come with any new bard song.

Given that the next DLC’s are in theory going to be more story orientated it’s definitely a safe bet to assume they’re going to be bigger in scale, they kind of have to be. Can’t really tell a decent story if you’re confined to a single area unless of course there is a ton of stuff to do/see. On JOH not having a bard song, that could be because of time/budget restrictions. There is an Avaar equivalent of a bard in the camp but she doesn't really do or say much.
How many hours (??) till the Microsoft press conference? Is there a topic about it?

Dragon Age Inquisition will be in the EA Access vault later this year on Xbox One, free to play for EA Access members.
It looks like a lot of BioWare devs are going to be putting in vacation time from November to January
