Didn’t he also say he was going to the montreal comic con? I believe that is next week so if there is going to be an annoucement soon we could get it there and the DLC could drop the day after the challenge ends.

SDCC and PAX Prime for sure also:

I'll be at SDCC and PAX Prime. Pretty excited to make the trip. Hopefully see some of you there.

(user)

will you be doing panels? or just fun booth shenanigans?

Mike Laidlaw @Mike_Laidlaw

Depends on the venue. We'll give more details as we get closer to each event.

They would not just pull another Hakkon ambush release, would they? A trailer would be forthcoming earlier than the day before, right? ....

I've asked once about a trailer for a new DLC. Haven't gotten any answer from them. Not even a maybe. I wouldn't be too surprised if they did that again.

So have I been playing DAI every day this week on PC and every time I start up Origins it "updates" either my DAI soundtrack or Flames of the Inquisition armor or something small like that. The download takes about a minute. Do any of yall have this? Is it a glitch or is BioWare stealthily having me download stuff relevant to a DLC under the guise of little armor updates?

Notice how it ends July 6th. The 7th is a Tuesday. DLC always comes out on a Tuesday.... hmmm.... ;)

Mine's been doing that too! I kind of assumed it was Origin doing what Origin does (though at least DA:O isn't broken any more) but now that you mention it... *formulates theories*

Sad news. A user on twitter was having the same problem and wrote the DA twitter. They said she should uninstall and intall Origins. I guess it's a bug. :(

At least spiders let you know they're around. They're like defective squeaky toys that way.

Thedasian BEARS on the other hand are like... someone's crossbreeding experiment with ninjas.

You're just walkin' along, singin' a song, when sudd... - OH HAI.

I give Bioware some slack here, at least they didn't go full-on-arachnophobia on us. I was fully expecting spiders to descend on us in the hundreds, like a living blanket of legs falling on us from the ceilings...

Big, fat, squeaky-toy spiders I can handle.

Well no, but I recall twitter exchange with a few devs, scaring people that they'll be adding more and bigger spiders >.>'

IMO, bigger is actually better when it comes to spiders. I like things I can splatter with an absurdly large hammer. Just imagine hundreds of smaller ones crawling all over you from every direction. Situations where setting yourself on fire is the optimal choice.

Agree... only the image they've left suggests that the gigantic spider might yet turn into "spiders crawling all over" scenario. So you might have to swing that ginormous hammer WHILE being set on fire

I actually remember jumping when spiders would drop from the ceiling in DAO.

Yeah, bigger spiders are easier for me, too (as long as they're not gigantic). I just close my eyes and spam fire spells or Explosive Shot. Sometimes I back away and let the party handle it - the perks of playing on casual. :D

Not really DA-related, but I remember how hard I laughed when the first mod for Skyrim turned all spiders into bears.

Spoiler

I'd laugh even more if someone tried to do the same for DAI. In fact, I actually expect something so surreal to happen while in the Fade (tiny bears crawling all over! Awww! Then suddenly *poof* AAAA, SPIDERS!).

Heh, forget Bees, Jar of Spiders! Mage with Immolate would be mandatory.

I always thought it'd be cool if the enemy could use bees against the protagonist...
