Yes, because that's the way they've always done it.

The only time multiple story DLC were in full production at the same time was ME3, because the Omega DLC was being done entirely by Montreal (leaving the actual ME3 team to develop Leviathan and Citadel, sequentially, interspersed with the crap packs and multiplayer expansions).

You say this without any factual basis for the assumption. That's why it's an issue.

Because BioWare conducted a marketing survey that outed the DLC as the final adventure for the Inquisition.

That doesn't mean it's the last, they could of started the marketing survey early so that they would have the most time to put all the ideas in for when they do it.

Not the writing, we have no idea how they handle that. Plus like I said earlier all of the writing team isn't needed for DLCs (and that is how they've always done it)

Nobody knows for sure if the next DLC is going to be the one from the survey, but signs are definitely pointing that direction.

Or the survey could've been two DLCs written as one or the entire survey was just made to see people's answer

I never said they were in full production simultaneously, but they are likely in some stage of production and writing is one of the first completed. Mary may be needed down the line for implementation, but as I noted, she's in the same building.

Outed a DLC as the final one, not whether or not it would be the next one.

Yes, we do, because they've talked about it in the past.

It's true that writing comes first, and DLC plots are typically the work of one or two writers (though most of the team would work on it in some capacity these days). But the writer continues to work after the drafting and even writing stages (as David has spoken to numerous times), and the team itself is relatively stable during the process (the departures have always come before or after, not during).

Plus like I said earlier all of the writing team isn't needed for DLCs (and that is how they've always done it)

I agreed with this earlier. Mary doesn't need to be there (but I also posted why I think her leaving more likely means they're done with DA3).

We'll find out soon, definitely.

BioWare does not conduct "fake" marketing surveys, at least not that anyone has ever encountered.

I doubt they used Inquisition to debut this process (and what would even be the point of it?).

And maybe they have all that worked out already and even if they don't it's not like David and Mary aren't in the same building to be asked for input

Maybe we could stop arguing about how the development team did or didn't work on dlc? It doesn't matter at this point and now it's boiled down to "yes it does" and "no it doesn't".

Didn't David say he's still in glaring distance of Patrick?  Which sounds like they are still in the same writers pit

And I hope that's the case for our sakes, but I don't believe it will be. (Saying it's possible is fine; of course it's possible. The problem was with saying it's definitely or more likely something else, even when all evidence we have says it's not definitely or more likely to be anything else.)

I believe it was a perk of still working at BioWare; I think their teams are on different floors (they definitely don't share an office).

You can browse the patch assets on PC.

There's lots of qunari stuff, including that throne.

Writers are involved in design as well as simple dialogue. They need to be there as the plot is implemented (since nothing ever comes out as planned).

They're part of a team that goes from plan to draft to playable content. They don't just leave once the pen falls. Mary didn't write something so far in advance that the level and cinematic designers are just now starting to implement it (and which would now be somebody else's responsibility as far as the narrative is concerned).

Mary could have drafted something in advance, but it would be wasted effort to leave now (since some other writer would have to come in and see it through to the end, working off somebody else's plan).

ERMAGERD! Are there any Qunari armors, finally??????

No, just placeables (terrain doodads for Skyhold customization and NPC camps) so far.

100% trustworthy. Why? Because He/She showed Zither before DLC released. (Mar 26, 2015)

I'd hardly call someone who posts leaks 'trustworthy', just saying xD.

I somehow don't think anticipation is intensifying for last gen owners.

Sounds a lot like the hypothetical Spoils of the Qunari from a while back. Maybe it's not from the story DLC after all?

So it seems that at least the Qunari part from leaked survey is pretty much 100% confirmed... Which is funny, because this was the part of survey I've had most trouble believing in.

It's listed as an "itempack" like the Spoils of the Avvar. Whether it's stand alone or part of a bigger DLC, I don't know. I don't really play qunari so I wouldn't buy it myself. I'm still kinda kicking myself for shelling out for the Avvar one when I never use any of it. I'm just a sucker it seems.

ETA: It might be worth noting that the armours and weapons that came with JOH aren't listed that way.

Okay, the Arishok armor is legit. I love it on my Katari in MP, so looking forward to having that option in SP!

At least it's not the final DLC (or is it?!?! :P).

As I posted earlier, it would have sucked if they had dropped the item pack as the last piece of content ever released for Inquisition (after the big story DLC).

Here's hoping the armors are Qunari friendly. It would horrible if The Iron Bull, or you, couldn't wear them but Cassandra can.

I imagine they'll work like the Avvar armors (so just a single body type, probably human proportioned, usable by anyone).
