Dragon Age: Inquisition Patch 8 Notes
http://blog.bioware....-patch-8-notes/
July 7, 2015 by Sean Trayner
In the current Patch 8 for Dragon Age: Inquisition, our focus is on introducing new Multiplayer features, improvements to overall Mutliplayer stability, and a new single player Save Importer feature.
Players have been asking for a bigger Multiplayer challenge, so we’ve created Nightmare difficulty, a step up from Perilous in every way. We’ve also introduced a number of new and rare high level weapons, some from the Avvar clans.
Players can now step into the Proving Grounds, a new tutorial level that allows you to test your class, abilities and load out before stepping into the heat of a Multiplayer battle. Proving Grounds is accessible from the class selection screen.
Upgrading your console? Our new Save Importer function allows players wishing to upgrade their consoles to migrate their save games without having to start from scratch. Full details here.
Patch notes in other languages to come.

Thanks Hrungr. Any idea when Patch 8 drops?
It's already out.

Are we sure? I gave my PS3 copy to charity yesterday a.m. So...if it is out I am going to Gamestop, purchasing the game, coming home, yanking my Mage, then going back to gamestop to return the game on their 7-day no ? Policy. Has anyone tried the exporter?
Patch 8 is out, it went live yesterday. As for the save importer I'm not entirely sure how well it works given that the majority of last gen players are in meltdown mode right now but I assume there must be some users out there who've used it.

I'm now predicting that the next major story DLC will drop late this week or next week... I'm mostly just being hopeful.
Standard operating procedure for DLC is Monday evening/Tuesday day. Both Xbox and PSN update on Tuesdays to coincide with new releases.

If last gen players knew how difficult and costly it is to do what they are demanding I’m pretty sure they would change their tune.

It's very hard to see from the other side of the fence, or to at least understand and accept it.
That's been my observation in general, both BSN and dealing with people in real life.

Many people's issue is; "Why now?"
Why not when the game was being held back, as they've said repeatedly. Why not when they realized they had to cut or scale down content? Why not prior to releasing Jaws or their item pack? Why 8 months into a game's life cycle and not a year prior to release?

It was short sighted of them true, if I’d been part of the dev team I would’ve argued against having a last gen version at all but I can’t help but feel a certain publisher may have pushed for last gen and new gen support despite the issues that choice incurs.

True though most decent games studios will at least allow their developers to put forward their opinion on what is best for a games development, admittedly most of the time its ignored and someone higher up the food chain makes the choices for them. Anyway I’ve derailed the thread enough for now, back to tweets.
