Thanks for waiting! All the remaining @davidgaider + @PatrickWeekes interviews WILL be all up by the end of the month! Patience, thank you
Howdy everyone! Today, in just 45min check out http://www.twitch.tv/bioware for the latest #DragonsNDonuts where we talk new difficulty n weapons!
DragonsNDonuts, DragonsNDonuts. I mean sure, this week they actually have some new features to discuss, but its like this every week. Constant hyping. Is MP really such a money-maker?

Yeah how dare those dev’s who worked on MP engage with the MP community…

It's silly and fun, they give away prizes, they announce the weekend events and people who aren't at work get a chance to play MP and/or chat on twitch with the people who made it. They just plug it every week to remind people it's happening because a lot of people genuinely enjoy it; there's no hard sell or hyping involved, and the Keep (which isn't the direct revenue source MP is) used to have a similar thing until they ran out of news. I don't get to watch it much because of work, but hating Dragons & Donuts is like hating puppies. ![]()

Probably not, given they're now putting SP content unlocks in it.

Yes, that's entirely what I meant. Thank you for your complete and total understanding of me and my point.

And you’re ignoring the fact that there are people who enjoy/play MP and therefore enjoy watching DragonsNDonuts.
MP benefits from an engaged developer in a way that SP doesn't really need.
(Though I'm not why they're quite this hush hush about SP DLC)
Legal reasons stop them from talking about what they're working on. The dev’s don’t like it from the sounds of some of their past tweets but they can’t do anything about it.

MP, by its nature, is more interactive. There is a live team maintaining it and putting up weekly challenges. Since BioWare is often criticized for not communicating well, it's rather refreshing that at least the MP team does communicate with the MP community.
There's... not really anything you can hype weekly about SP. It's already all there other than whatever DLC they are working on for the future. It's a different beast entirely from advertising you've got a new weekly challenge in the MP section.
I get that you guys are upset, especially right now, after the Dragon Props issue and the lack of SP news, but getting mad about the MP team doing their job and supporting their half of DAI is petty. I'm dying to get SP DLC news, too, as I am also a SP fan (a fact that seems to get overshadowed because, tisk tisk, I like the MP, too). But I appreciate hearing about what the new weekend challenge is.
Seeing reactions like this reminds me way too much of my own job sometimes. I work at a newspaper, specifically in the advertising department. Like the MP team works on the MP live team. Then we have the newsroom, the people who actually write the articles and the content readers are looking for in our newspaper. They're like the SP team. Two different, separate teams doing their own separate jobs that adds up to one full product. Care to take a guess at how many times, though, I get readers fussing at me or yelling at me because they are upset about an article that was published or they didn't receive their paper that morning (circulation team issue, not advertising)or things otherwise related to the other teams that I have nothing to do with? Too much.
Dragon Age: Inquisition Multiplayer Weekend Event (July 10 – 13)

Mission: Undead Slayer (July 10 – 13)
To all Inquisition soldiers and agents,
An envoy from Nevarra will be visiting Skyhold in the coming weeks. Some of you may be aware of the Nevarran… peculiarity about the dead. To prevent any unpleasant diplomatic incidents during this visit, we would like to encourage all our troops to remove signs of the undead from the surrounding countryside wherever possible. Every animated corpse you destroy before they arrive is one fewer chance that our visiting dignitaries will be offended over the mistreatment of a revenant.
Cordially,
Ambassador Montilyet
Agent Goal: Kill 25 revenants and arcane horrors combined.
Inquisition Goal:
PS4: Kill 750,000 undead and spiders combined.
PC/Xbox One: Kill 500,000 undead and spiders combined.
PS3/X360: Kill 325,000 undead and spiders combined.
Agent Completion: Agent awarded a Commendation Chest.
Inquisition Completion: All agents awarded a Victory Chest.
Mission: Undead Slayer begins at 10 am PST Friday, July 10, and ends at 5 am Monday, July 13.
Good luck!
Yes, I'm being petty. Still annoyed over the "Soon." tweet in response to questions about single player DLC getting my hopes up only to turn out to be an item pack, I suppose. Technically single player DLC? Yes. What people generally mean when they ask a dev about new SP DLC? No.
At least the written blurbs related to the weekly MP challenges are entertaining. Though since we're getting a new challenge after the "particularly long" one that just happened, with no advancement on the story side of things, I suppose there's no actual reason there was such "chaos" that Cullen was dealing with? There was some speculation the MP challenge was feeding into a new addition to single player, story-wise. Which isn't the case, it seems.
Using MP in that manner--connecting it thematically to a new single player DLC when one actually happens--would still be a cool idea, I think.
That man..so hairy... I love it. Ugh.

Hey #SDCC2015: a bunch of us BioWare devs are at the Dark Horse booth on the floor. Come talk game collecting and all things nerd and fun
Will Wolverine be there? No Wolvie, no sell.
Well, I believe it turned out the Spoils of the Qunari DLC's actual release date is the 21st. (Xbox marketplace jumped the gun). So that might not have been what "Soon" referred to.Yes, I'm being petty. Well, we have to take into consideration another option - due to either some technical issues or else, the release of both SP DLC as well as the Qunari pack were delayed and the only reason why we saw Spoils in Xbox store is because someone forgot to switch the date.
This may also be why they stay so quiet - that way they can push release dates without having to apologize for yet another delay or deliver a product with some fatal bugs.
The entire time DAI was in development they'd offer up "soon" as a response to "when" and it always turned out that "soon" was never as soon as anyone wanted it to be. It's coming, try to be glad they're not rushing it.
I'm happy to wait. I'm just hoping it's not the last story DLC as rumoured.
