From those tweets, it sounds more and more like it was an EA decision to release the game on the older systems.
Hope they do the right thing by those affected and provide an upgrade path for when people do upgrade their systems.

Most likely, more money made for EA in the long run to have it on all systems available instead of limiting it
Nooo I thought the post credit scene was brilliant don't want them to stop doing stuff like that.
I agree. I've fallen in love with that scene.
Also...Solas confirmed in the upcoming DLC, it seems.

Remember that DAI was originally gonna come out in 2013 when the new consoles were just about to release, even with the extra year added it was pretty much too late to back out of the older systems

Thus screwing consumers in the process. Typical of EA.
This fandom really knows how to shoot itself in the foot. Reminds me of all the people who complained about bisexual LIs and how they all got exactly what they wanted.

What is wrong with inquisition romance?
Whoa! He's getting grilled, but I can see how this situation would make people angry. I, too, like the ending of Inquisition, but it's so frustrating how some people can make the devs change up so many things.
Players can't make Devs do anything, games would be very different if they could. If BW decide to not do another cliffhanger ending then that's their decision, one tweet isn't going to be a factor.

Nothing. I don't want to open the gates of hell in the twitter topic.
Thats still no excuse for the lack of an apology to old gen users and more importantly not giving them a free next gen copy as compensation. Not to mention the fact that to import a save users need to buy exactly the same edition as they had on last gen.
We have no idea what will happen in upcoming next weeks, so it's too early to judge that particular aspect of the entire situation.
What happens later is irrelevant. As it stands, people need to buy a new copy of the game. If later it gets changed to be free if you upgrade, the first people still had to buy it. There is also no apology, and you need the same edition as the one you had to play. Everything Morroian said is currently happening. So no, it's not too early to judge.

On the contrary - what happens later is entirely relevant. There's no point of jumping to conclusions or buying the game the instant the news are out. It's a matter of a little bit of reason and patience.
I just wish we could get like a ball park release date on the DLC...but I know it isn't happening.
Hopefully get some cool insight on old gods and such in the new DLC. I feel like I'm probably the only one who thinks Dumat still has some type of role to play in the game series.

Not just you! But I have a feeling that he may not be appearing anytime soon (if he indeed appears).

I'm not in any way jumping to conclusions. I stated facts. Why shouldn't someone buy the game as soon as the save importer is out? Why should they assume they might release the game for a discount later, ignoring normal discounts? All I'm saying is people are getting screwed over, and they shouldn't be. You can say they may in the future no longer be getting screwed over, but that's a pointless statement.
Let's please all remember to communicate respectfully with devs. They ARE people too!
That poster wasn't being disrespectful in my view. They just didn't let up until they got their point across.

You mean they aren't sadist automatons?
DAMN! There goes that theory >.>
But seriously, these guys are under a contract to not say certain things and breaching that could cost them their job. If you want to get an answer ask them if they could try to get a good explanation from the people that have the power.
Grilling them doesn't help, it just makes them more jaded.

They are?! O__o

I agree. There are much better ways to get the same point across.

Why SHOULD someone buy the game the moment the save importer is out? Especially if they didn't plan the upgrade and the only reason they want one is because they want to continue with DLC that isn't out yet - and we have no idea when it will be? Even discounts that are now aren't necessarily a good deal - DAI, for example, will be coming to Xbox's Vault at the end of summer.
Like I said - it's a matter of reason and patience.
HOLY SH*T!!! That is awesome!

Those horns are ah-maz-ing.
Oh my goodness, Hrungr... you cover the tweets for Mass Effect too? You're too good! Hahaha!
It's funny... I was just thinking today about ME:A and wondering if you'd cover Twitter news for that as well, but I then concluded that it'd be too much work for one person. I was wrong.
On topic-ish: I wonder how she did the Qunari horns and made them look so... seamless on her head.

Older Son has more than enough power to go to Val Royeaux, is ignoring my suggestion that he Get Out of the Hinterlands. *sigh*

"Dad, I just want to do this one quest first. And look, there's loot over there!" I know, son. I know. I helped build this time-trap.
Hah, these tweets are great. I've always been amazed that they decided to overload the starting zone with so many quests, far more than any other area in the entire game.

While I agree -- and also am happy with the Inquisition romances -- they can't satisfy everyone, and there will always be complainers. David Gaider always said -- never did he once say otherwise -- that he would prefer to have set sexualities if they had the time and resources. Let's also be aware that the number of followers can also be considered a resource; DAI has the most available among all three DA games. More NPCs means more potential love interests, and more opportunities to vary the romance (both in sexuality and romance type; Josephine vs Bull, for instance).
