On topic-ish: I wonder how she did the Qunari horns and made them look so... seamless on her head.

The horns are attached to a whole forehead prosthetic which will thin out at the edges and be blended in with the makeup. It's really a great bit of craftsmanship.

As an aside, she could make double use of that in draenei cosplay for World of Warcraft.

The person that does... will never be single again and should probably think of going the way of polygamy.

Thats still no excuse for the lack of an apology to old gen users and more importantly not giving them a free next gen copy as compensation. Not to mention the fact that to import a save users need to buy exactly the same edition as they had on last gen.

Are you kidding? Give last-gen users a free next-gen copy?

Be realistic ffs.

To elaborate for ElitePinecone. There is a lot of deals that need to be made not only from EA's end but from Sony and Microsoft's end. (Those two do receive a portion of the profits). I assume EA would have to pay Microsoft and Sony the money that those two would lose on unless there is a small chance of Microsoft and Sony would agree to giving free copies. But they are a business those two would probably ask for a favour such as another exclusivity deal.

It would be nice if they did offer a discount like the crossover discounts from switching from next-gen from previous-gen. But again there is a lot of red tape to go around.

Also the most important reason. A business wants to earn money giving away free copies isn't a way to earn money.

They could give a digital discount to people who own old-gen to purchase next-gen as that person is essentially double-dipping into a product. I know you got a free digital upgrade with Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare from old-gen to next-gen but that franchise is much bigger than Dragon Age and Destiny offered a similar thing but only for a small period of time during Christmas.

Of course it's realistic - they've already bought the game once, at the same RRP - exactly the same number of times I have. It's unrealistic to expect them to buy the game again+the DLC to continue their adventure. Not there fault their platform is no longer supported. EA chose to release the game on the old platform.

I know how I'd feel if they suddenly decided they weren't releasing upcoming DLC on PC. Well I'd be done with BW forever basically. Customer good will goes a long way.

The DLC releases to date have already been a PR nightmare with exclusivity deals and all the rest of it. Seems like one more slap in the face to their customers.

I'm far from an expert on consoles, but didn't MS announce in E3 that you could play XB360 games on XB1?

You do realise that in most countries PS4/Xbone games are more expensive than last gen right? No way in hell are they going to do something like this. Unless the number of last gen users is so small that they would be able to absorb the damage through sales of DLC or something similar they would lose out on way too much money which would ultimately negatively impact Bioware and not the people who made this call. Regardless of this argument though it states in the EULA that they can cease support of the game as and when they want to. It may suck for you and others but the simple fact is this, they don’t owe you anything, legally or otherwise. Yes giving you a free version of the game would be a nice gesture but the games industry isn't built on the principles of charity.

They are adding backwards compatibility for certain titles, which ones is still up in the air, but that wouldn’t get around the whole ‘we don’t support last gen versions’ thing. It would still be the 360 version and bound by the same limitations, it would just run better on the new hardware.

Oh my goodness, Hrungr... you cover the tweets for Mass Effect too? You're too good! Hahaha!

It's funny... I was just thinking today about ME:A and wondering if you'd cover Twitter news for that as well, but I then concluded that it'd be too much work for one person. I was wrong.

Well... DA's winding down, ME's winding up... mmm... it's about the same amount of "effort".

Yeah... I'm guessing someone has friend who's a film industry make-up artist. ;)

For those complaining about older consoles not being supported, I'd like to tell my own story {sorry for being OT}:

I bought the DA:I Collectors Edition as soon as it was available, but it wasn't until now that I could actually play it.

Reason? Neither my video card, nor my CPU were up to par. It took me this long to be able to upgrade my rig for both DA:I and Witcher 3 to be able to play them.

In both cases, it was TOTALLY worth the wait, and the expense. I decided on a  completely new rig, and spent almost $3,000, which I could barely afford. Had either game been dumbed down to accomodate my older rig set, I'd be seriously upset.

I don't regret, at all, having to save up to upgrade my system, and I now have a rig that should last the next several years to play anything I want in high quality.

Obviously, I'm talking about a PC, but consoles are stuck with whatever components are attached at time of sale. {I'm not anti console BTW}.

New games sell with same price. It's PC version that is cheaper. PS3 version of DAI is still over 60 euros where I'm from, same as PS4.

They owe last gen folks apology in terms of their reputation, but I guess EAware doesn't need to care about their rep anymore.

*sighs* They have no obligation to give you an apology. There was no contract ensuring that you would receive DLC. BioWare owes you nothing. All this falls under "wouldn't it be nice."

And notice I didn't say "owe" I said "is worthy of"

It would be the nice thing to do, at the very least.

It is not. They realized they can't do certain things on older consoles and they've made a bold move...All for the best. Get over it. Complaining and begging for smth in return won't help you.

Where you are maybe, here in the UK there’s around a £10 difference on new versions, PS4/Xbone are around £35 depending on retailer, PS3/360 are £25. PC is weirdly more expensive at close to £40 on some websites.
