The suspense is really killing me here. I'd like to think that we will still be offered the option to become one of trintiy of archetypes (Warrior, Rogue, or Mage) for DA:I but for the life of me I have no idea how it will work into the story. Will we basically be our own characters and get caught up in the events of Inquisition? Will we have the option to play an Inquisitor? An Apostate? Will our characters have a backstory?
Oy, so many questions!

I'd rather be "The Dude who killed a lot of people for no reason".

... Why wouldn't we get to choose our class? Inquisitors aren't Templars. They didn't hunt mages, they hunted maleficar, abominations, demons, blood mages, etc.

I think it's virtually guaranteed that we can choose our class. And Gaider has specifically stated on the forums that you are not forced to be pro-chantry in DAI. I don't have quotes, but I know that he has said it. Inquisitor does not have to mean templar; it could mean something else. I also believe (though I'm not sure) that this inquisition is separate from past ones initiated by the Chantry. But I suppose this isn't really the place for this discussion, so I'll leave it here.

At this point in the DA timeline, seems the Inquisitors watch the Watchmen, so to speak. It's the impression I've got that the Seekers police the Templars and the Inquisitors police everyone. With the Chantry-Circle model sundered, mages on the loose, rogue templars out to Tranquilize the world, and a few civil wars, I imagine the Inquisitors will be many things. Including mages, rogues, and warriors. ;]
And since this is the Twitter thread, did anyone see the extremely off-color joke Chris Priestly made yesterday about Felicia Day's breasts? Made me shake my head. He apologized, but it was very disappointing.

I didn't think it was particularly bad and I don't think he was trying to be pervy or anything. I've seen a lot worse.

Save import=/=your decisions carrying over. They couldn't get it right from 1 game to the next so I have no faith that they could get it right from 2 full games, an expansion and a bunch of DLC. We're probably getting the ME2 "comic book" treatment.

Inquisitor seems more like the protagonists job or position and not the honory title like hero or champion. Just saying.

Oh! Yeah!
Oh..next few months...oh.....
As far as Priestly's tweet. I saw what I think was it, and I didn't find it particularly offensive...but I may have a higher threshold for guy humor.
That said, he did own it. He tried not to at first, but in the end he completely owned it. He said he was wrong. "Period". and should not have said it.
None of those politician apologies. You know, "if you misundertsood what I said and your misunderstanding offended you...then I'm sorry you misunderstood and were offended by your misunderstanding..." Lol!
Honestly, that's all I can ask of a human being. We all say dumb stuff sometimes. *raises hand* But the real test of a person's character is if they're willing to own it w/grace and sincerity.
I think Priestly did that. Which is saying alot cuz he's feisty....

I have a feeling they'll do something like you're suggesting. As in, some sort of system that circumvents the need to import an actual file.
And I don't care. If it works, it works. It would probably save a lot of trouble. I haven't played Mass Effect to see how it worked there, but I'm optimistic at this point.

The Mass Effect 2 "import" system for PS3 was awful. It essentially gave you the oppurtunity to make a small fraction of the choices in ME1 and then just removed a good deal of content that was reliant on choices that you never got to make.

I expect a lot of bugs. A lot of patches. A lot of players mad their decisions in the other games don't carry over properly. More fun in the forums.

I think the joke was more about the 'no shoes, no shirt, no service' thing and of his own personal experiences if you read on. Anyway why should you or anyone apart from the two parties involved care about what was said. Gyad and people wonder why I'm so cynical. It might've been an inside joke between the two, do not judge until you have all the information.
