I feel like I should bring this part of the thread to the writers' attention, especially Patrick Weekes. You know how they enjoy our tears so much. I think they'd get a kick out of the fact that we're so used to them instigating said tears that we're now able to whip ourselves into a frenzy of fan tears without much input from them.

Something tells me that Varric is gonna be just fine. ![]()
And there is this teeny, tiny part of me that is afraid I'm wrong.

Just imagine that you have to leave Skyhold, and the people that you bring with you are the only ones to survive.
Choose wisely....
Whelp, considering I'm avidly waiting to mount
that opens up one extra slot for someone to live. ![]()
All of this Varric stuff is setting off alarms.
Indeed, my eyes narrow with every new Varric reference.
What have you done, BioWare? What have you done?

An interesting question was posed to me: What's Isseya wearing under the cloak in her WoT Book 2 appearance?
A question maybe for @MattRhodesArt ![]()
Too late! It has been decreed!
Basically, the same thing as her brother, though I suspect hers is more disheveled, and she probably has bare arms, bandaged.
For...reasons. I'll sidestep why, for spoiler reasons. Feel free to read Last Flight if you like! It's got blights and such!
Okay, in the interest of fairness, it has only one Blight. But it's really quite large. The Blight, I mean.
@Mike_Laidlaw Why did you change the currency to gold, especially since dialogue still talks about silver/sovereigns etc? Just curious.
Sovereigns are what the gold coins are called. We removed silver for simplicity and UI space, which is always at a premium.

why only advisors and companions?
why not the PC himself?
Something Wicca this way comes - Mage Trevelyan
All hell breaks loose - Mage Adaar
Before the sun sets on - Mage Lavellan
and so on...
Oh wait. What about

Actually, the saddest event I can imagine currently is the death of one like Josephine; a person without combat skills, but vital and beloved to the Inquisition. Dagna could use runes, and many other Agents and NPC's are also able to defend themselves, but someone like Josie is more reliant on the others. I know my Inq's would be angry enough for that story.
The women in refrigerators trope has been done to death, really (no pun intended). I can't believe they'd go down that path again. And not just because it may be construed as misogynistic, but because it's really a cliché by this point.

It could be a man for all I care, but someone like Sandal; one that was rather innocent concerning combat, but he can take care of himself. Not Enchantment!

My, we are building a theory out of very little ![]()
Either way, I have no issue with multiple deaths,
so long as through intelligent play I can avoid them.
Or, if someone has to go,
it is for an intelligent and meaningful reason.

I don't think any main characters (at least on the inquisition side) will die during a dlc. Many people would just not buy the dlc and avoid those deaths. Pretty sure they want to sale the upcoming dlc.

Amaranthine/Vigil's Keep? It was ultimately bad. Better not see it repeat again.

If the walls heading to the war room are not fixed in post-story DLC I'll be very upset. I mean, come on already.

Too bad you can't drag stuff around like you can in Skyrim. By this point, I'd just start stuffing the holes with corpses and random books... ![]()

Spoils of the Qunari re-releases this week... so here's hoping for something interesting to happen along with it. *crosses fingers*
Assuming it does, Bioware never mentioned it officially (other then that miscellaneous tweet by some dev, who I forgot his name).

Static light shafts have been used all the way back to Origins (go back to the mage tower and look at all the pretty moonlight flowing in).^ And fun dust mote sparklies (thanks Frostbite!)
The only thing Frostbite added are god rays, and I don't think they even impact that corridor (since the sun is fully blocked).
