Oh , alright ElitePinecone. :)

I'm getting worried about nothing ...^^

Anyway just saw Mark Darrah changed his twitter pic , he has this very glorious picture with Snoop Dog!
I always found Snoop Dog hilarious for some reasons.Must be the pimp attitude , and the bling bling.I just can't take those seriously.

Its full glory deserves to be shown (apparently this was the VGAs 2009 Best RPG award for DA: Origins):

less? They never gave a "quantity" of information they will be sharing, beside they have limited at the EA presentation. And E3 is mostly interview-based in term of medium.

"We will show stuff at E3" -> "We will show SOME stuff at E3" -> "We will show a little dollop"... getting less.

Regarding the video showing a customizable Merrill, it doesn't seem likely that they're talking about the scrapped expansion since they also talk about "what's next" spanning a huge amount of Thedas and the adventure being on a much grander scale than DA][. I very much doubt that they would make the expansion larger than the base game.
And we were initially told that the unveiling of Inquisition was going to substantial and substantive, leaving no room for questions and specifically not just an action trailer and some pictures.

Pretty much how it will probably go... As long as the game doesn't disappoint, I'll be happy ;)

I was thinking the same thing, Ericander. What if we're running from the inquisition? Or, one of our backgrounds allows us to.

Cuz something abt the whole being an Inquisitor thing seems off. Unless they airbrush the whole group. Then even the idea of "leading" it makes me question. Who the heck are we that anyone would entrust us like that.

Although, I still want my red cape. For moments when dramatic emphasis is needed.

psh, i want a color selectable cape ;)

but yeah, i feel like for us to be siding with the mages, (like most BSN ppl do) we wouldn't be leading an organization that has an anti-mage backround/histery. But then again, i would like to lead something.... =]

Who the heck was the Warden recruit to lead the nation of Ferelden against the Blight?

The Warden got that position by default. Everyone else died, and the others couldn't be reached. I would hope they wouldn't do the Same thing w/DA3.

I think you're dramatically overthinking this. They've said that the survey is old, blah blah blah. But they felt the need to announce the game with NOTHING to show to try to divert attention away from the survey. It's obviously not  irrelevent. The survey made it pretty clear that the mage-Templar conflict is not the fical point of the story. This new Inquisition has nothing to do with hunting down mages and the like. It's about uncovering what's causing catastrophies all over Thedas, including a massive tear in the veil that decimates a peace summit between the mages and Templars and sends demons spewing forth into the waking world. I personally have no doubt that we're playing as The Inquisitor.

Well put.

I agree with BasilKarlo, the survey is old but there's still some truth to it even if it's just the very basics of the plot. I'm 99.9% sure we'll be part of the Inquisition/the Inquisitor.

That's also very true. After the survey they put up that "open letter" thing to sort of quiet the puplic a bit didn't they? And when that ME3 script leak happened, IT WAS EXACTLY LIKE THE GAME.

I'm not sure how you get quantity of information out of "stuff" and "some stuff"...

Yes , I'm writing this aggggain....and Merrill , I feel like her story wasn't really done.
I may be wrong .
.

I'm pretty sure Merrill will be back. There's a YouTube video done at the New York Comic Con in 2011 discussing DAIII teasers and when they were talking about character customization they used Merrill as a template.

Here's the video:  Go to the 6:52 mark to see Merrill.

Of course, everything is subject to change...

I think that particualr merril was meant for the exalted march expansion that was *sobs* cancelled *sobs*. Because at that time i think it was still in development, right? But hey, if they liked it, they may still use it.

Rising to power is a thing that happens sometimes, it's not always just leveling up.

I just wish they would announce the *real* date the game is coming out. I've read everything from:
1. Fall of 2013
2. Over 2013 Christmas holiday
3. 2014...no idea of when
4. Early 2014
If nothing else comes out at E3, at least I hope they set a date!

Well, one would imagine it's *really, really hard* to significantly change the plot without a lot of prior notice, especially since the writing has such massive lead times. Everything else that stems from the writing (cinematics, dialogue, voice recording) takes ages to do, so I'd imagine the main arcs of the plot are some of the very first things to be nailed down in the game. The story would be in the game pitch-thing (I forget the fancy developer name), which is finished before proper development even starts...

The marketing survey 'leaked' only late last year, which was way past the time when the plot would be locked down. I'd think it would be practically impossible that they'd change the fundamental storyline of the game (in the sense of the protagonist being an Inquisitor) mid-way through development.

But they kept saying it "didn't reflect the plot".... when it did. Which is the same thing they said about the survey, but i get your point about how they've had more time to change it.

It sounded to me like we would be in a position of power very early on. Of, course, I could be totally wrong. What I was wondering is how exactly they would go about doing that? Would they have us rise to power like the Warden did? By default? Would it be a story told in the background choices? How much of the game would be devoted to this rise of power?

I'm just wondering how they're going to go about doing this in a way that seems....plausible w/out repeating how they did it in DAO.

I don't need the real date just an announcement whether it will be this year or next would make me happy.
