Combined with the other tweet I am inclined to say recored recently but quite a few games get audio done late in the process though I don't know how BioWare works.

Wow, five new songs. Indication of longer/involved DLC?  Was there a new song introduced with JoH? I have yet to actually complete it in my game.

Bioware devs tweeted a while back that she was recording new bard songs. So I'm assuming she's tweeting about it now because she knows something about a release date? Maybe? I think? I hope.

Looking at the Inquisition tavern songs soundtrack there are 10 in total so 5 is a sizeable amount!

This is what I'm thinking as well. The songs have been recorded for at least a few weeks, going by tweets. I think she's teasing us. Like Allegra did before launch. lol

Looking at the Inquisition tavern songs soundtrack there are 10 in total so 5 is a sizeable amount!

Making up for the lack of dwarven or qunari themed songs, perhaps? The current tavern songs cover mages, templars, andrastianism, orlesians, elves (imo, Once We Were is about elves. might be wrong, but the lyrics fit), Leliana, and Sera.

Well devs tweeted weeks (months?) ago that she was recording, so I figure these might be the same songs and she's just teasing us about release *Like TheBlackAdder13 and AlleluiaElizabeth said

 

Alternatively, these could be songs recorded for another piece of DLC that is in production now that the current one is complete *Glass half full

A promo video?  Maybe introducing new features for the DLC that go beyond new areas and story?

New tavern songs mean more time so spend in Skyhold... So the next DLC is NOT going to be just a new area to explore like in JoH I guess...
