I presume you'll be able to play casual through nightmare. l expect nightmare will be very difficult so you won't feel all powerful.

I finished DA2 with the slow mo bug. Before Bioware patched the game to make it easier for mages/nightmare. I never felt more useless playing a game. <_<

Which just means that they come out as "official" during EA's pre-E3 event.
I assume they could have more information during the actual days of E3, so while we might not get a whole lot tomorrow, we could have more information in the next few days.

It's official since the end of last year.

Tomorrow they WILL show the game, maybe only for about 5min but they will.

And there will be more during the week.

It better blow my clothes off if it's only going to be like five minutes or just an interview. First impressions are essential.

Right couple of questions:

1. Who's Cullen? Is he (I'm assuming it's a he) from the books? Because I don't remember him from either of the games and I while I wasn't obsessive about doing 100% I did try to get any minor story arcs cleared away if I could find them.

2. What's so cool about him? Is he really adorable? A complete badass? Have an interesting backstory/philosophy?

Cullen is a templar first introduced in Dragon Age: Origins. He plays a relatively minor role; he's nervous and stuttery around a female mage, as he nurses a secret passion for her. When the abominations take over Kinloch Hold (Ferelden's Circle of Magi), he is imprisoned and becomes paranoid, convinced that all mages are a danger (the demons apparently tormented him with illusions of you if you were that female mage--no idea about other playthroughs).

In Dragon Age 2, Cullen has been transferred to the order in Kirkwall, and he is the Knight Captain. He seems to have stabilized emotionally, but he is very zealous when it comes to treating mages with persecution. It's worth noting that he DID fight for me several times against Meredith at the end, and I played pro-mage, so he doesn't seem to be TOTALLY convinced mages need to be exterminated.

What would also be cool is if there is a bit of a companions reveal in general. Perhaps, quick snippets from a trailer? Or something like that?

Maybe not too much expansion on it, but...there may be something w/ a few npc's flashing over the screen?

Anyone going to tape Flynn's presentation?
Some of the female players seem to have a crush on Cullen . Makes no sense to me but they're entitled. There is a Cullen romance mod for pc players. You can watch it on youtube if you don't have the pc version of the game.

I'm sure there are men that like Cullen as well. I'm male, and I like him as a character. Not with the ardor of some fans, but I think he's interesting. I would certainly be open to romancing him if that were an option, at least for a playthrough.

Although, I sure did leave Sten to die the first time I played DAO. Lol! I thought he was just like that Ostagar prisoner. On the forums I was thinking, "who is this Sten of which you speak?"

So, I'm torn. Regardless, I may have to get out of the forums after tom. That may be enuf. A release..hopefully. General overview, and Out!

I knew entirelt too much abt ME3. I'm not spoiling myself this time.

Eh don't worry too much about it, I'm a girl and I'm still having trouble getting the appeal.  I dunno, I just don't understand what about his character is interesting... (probably because I never noticed he was a reaccuring character) maybe someone else who finds him interesting would be kind enough to explain it to me? If he's gonna be a male LI for the next game, it'd be kinda nice if I could be into both male LI's and have trouble choosing between them (assuming I'm into the other, unname LI), makes extra play throughs more fun. 


Also, this is the first Bioware game I'm actually following before release, so I'm probably going to go full throttle into the spoilers, just to get the full experience of it, I'll try to dodge any spoilers I deem to big however, gotta save some of the fun for the game.

I just want to take this time to say that it has been quite a journey for all us since DA:I was first announced. Tomorrow should begin the stream actual information leading to the game's release and give us something substantive to talk/argue/slander oneanother about. Me neither, but my male bloodmage Inquisitor might take a shot at him. Simply so I can make Cullen feel as conflicted as possible.

Yeah, suddenly discoving that you can recruit someone is fun, and exciting. It's why Sten and Wynn were some of my favorite recruits, because I just happened upon them and didn't realize they join me in my travels until I chatted with them a bit.
