I guess the only argument you might make for the idol is if it was considered "processed lyrium".
But yeah, there were lyrium veins everywhere in the Deep Roads you could walk right up to in DA2...
Those "veins" look like crystals, so they may be extrusions of water containing lyrium (lyrium suspended in liquid is safe-ish) that have crystallized into a form of lyrium salt. So they're not pure lyrium, they're denatured.

God, it's been what...8 months since the release of the game...and since I've skipped Hakkon, I've been basically waiting all this time for further story content for the game. I really hope it's jolly good !
Gamescom seems the perfect place to finally start actually teasing the DLC, with a teaser or even maybe a trailer if they feel generous. Fingers crossed.

They have been teasing the DLC for months ever since a Q&A on Kotaku in March when a user asked:
User:
"How about some DLC on the Darkspawn and Deep Roads? The caves in Inquisition were pretty cool but there wasn't enough of them!"
Aaryn Flynn:
"Funny you should ask... :)"
We are way past teasing, its time to actually announce things!

Um, yeah... I'm sure that's exactly what the Devs were thinking.

Main focus Wednesday will be Swtor's Expansion for me, but it would be nice to get a trailer drop for the next DLC.
At the moment I'm just trying to get my Josie romanced Rogue ready for the next DLC. Then, if we haven't heard anything by then, I'll get my Dorian romanced Rogue ready as well lol!
I'd also love to find out how many DLC's they're planning to do for Inquisition before they wrap it up and move onto the next adventure. Until said otherwise, I'm still believing in my 3-Piece theory.
Spoiler
- A revelation DLC akin to Mass Effect 3's Leviathan DLC (Which would be THIS upcoming DLC).
- An invasion DLC, like Mass Effect 3's Omega DLC (Qunari Invasion).
- A grand finale DLC, like Mass Effect 3's Citadel DLC (Solas DLC. Main quest line, bunch of companion stuff/romance/and just all around appreciation from the Devs to us for sticking with them on another well crafted journey).
Still a shame we haven't had 2 DA Games where the main hero has been the same back to back. Mainly because I grow attached to all my characters, then have to sweep them to the side to get ready to be introduced to the new one.
Oh well. It is time for bed, and tomorrow we'll all be here, watching, waiting, f5'ing for anything to show up!

Yeah, my Inquisitor is the first DA player character I've ever really been attached to. I'm kinda sad to see things wrap up in dlc, feels like there should have been so much more to her story.
