Now I've got a week to prep Revas- and I'm glad I'm not postgame yet so I can take Solas, and I think I'd take Varric but he's probably going to die if I do that, isn't he. God.

Two things I love about The Descent:
1. Old school progression: deeper you go, harder it gets.
2. OGRE PUNCHES
That just made my D&D nostalgia twitch. Hnnnng.

Now I'm even more excited. Hit my level capped KE with your best shots, Deep Roads.
I believe the combat for this DLC is specifically tailored for this kind of thing. The Darkspawn weapons seem to have unique enchantments on it (they appear to be glowing in a fire-like color) and then we have the Ogre grab.
I am quite sure if your Knight Enchanter gets up close, he/she will get Ogre-grabbed and be pounded to death or near death. I would not be surprised to see Darkspawn weapons do something that specifically counters guard, barriers and what have you.
I personally think that this DLC will be brilliant for Reaver Warriors, Artificer Rogues and Rift Mages. Simply because this is one large dungeon crawl which means crowd control and area of effect spells will be invaluable. Look at the bridges and cave choke points. Just drop a Pull of the Abyss, a Static Cage and a Fire Mine.

Looks like a piece of armor. So they are gradually revealing a whole figure?
My guess is that there's gonna be a big, simultaneous SP and MP drop on next Tuesday. They just revealed the SP with today's trailer, and had been teasing it for weeks with dwarves/Deep Roads "Know Your Lore" stuff.
Now, this week, they've been teasing parts of an image that look suspiciously like an MP character card. Guessing maybe a big reveal in Friday's Dragons-n-Donuts livestream that there will be an MP DLC involving the Deep Roads dropping on Tuesday as well.
Pure speculation on my part.

I love that DLC gives them an opportunity to try stuff like this.
They went to DA: O roots. Ogres had the same mechanics in DA: O. Funny to see it back on Frostbite.

But DAO had Glyph of Paralysis, Force Field and Shield Bash to counter the grab. So far I can only think of the Fade Cloak functioning as grab avoidance tool.

Freeze it. It should stop if he has no guard on his HP.

DLC sounds difficult. And I did not like the difficulty in Hakkon. Here's hoping I won't be getting two shotted by every thing, especially by freaking archers.

Warrior + Taunt. Veilstrike / Pull of the Abyss. Stealth + Elemental Mines. Waking Fortress.
Those are but a few ways to deal with archers.
