I don't want a Wolf Hunt DLC, I'm not even going to buy it.
Fan service DLC like Witch Hunt that doesn't add nothing are completelly passable. I only played Witch Hunt because it came with the complete edition.
Cool story. Why are you here? Seems like a bunch of DLC is coming out you don't want to play.

Silent Sister? Wasn't that those twin Dwarven Sisters in Origins? I remember one didn't speak.

How on earth would a Solas related dlc be 'fan service'? The guy is responsible for an awful lot of stuff that has happened/is happening, has 'plans' for Thedas, and is a very important character both to the Inquisition, which he abandoned, and to the setting. His story involvement clearly isn't done. Surely fan service (which isn't necessarily a terrible thing anyway, see ME3 Citadel doc) would be done solely to have the character appear even when unnecessary. The questions that remain about Solas are absolutely necessary to explore at some point.I don't want a Wolf Hunt DLC, I'm not even going to buy it.

Faction of Legion of the Dead that's all female and cut out their tongues when they join.

Silent Sisters are supposed to remove their tongues.
If there is a Silent Sister multiplayer character, I imagine her dialogue was easy to record. ![]()

I think it's a bit presumptuous to assume that a DLC featuring Solas would be made purely out of fan service. I mean, they were clearly setting up a new story arc with the epilogue scene and that story has to be addressed at some point.
What if it was always Bioware's plan to make the last DLC about the ending of the main game? They're hardly pandering to fans by sticking to what they were always going to do, even if it does (neatly) meet a lot of requests that people were making.
Also, by the looks of things the last DLC will have a bunch of story content that doesn't seem like fan service at all, including a qunari invasion, information about the Fade, and the chance to decide the future of the Inquisition as an organisation. If I had to guess, it'll also do a bunch of foreshadowing of DA4, if that game is indeed in pre-production.

The Silent Sisters are all female dwarven warrior order that takes a vow of silence (And maybe cuts out their own tongues, I can't remember)
They were founded by the Paragon credited with proving women could fight (Who did cut out her tongue)

You put it better then me.
It's been really eye opening for me since the release of the Descent trailer, you read people complaining about so many different things. As far as I am concerned Bioware has been doing a really good job with everything lately minus Spoils of the Qunari (mistakes in there are mind boggling).
Descent looks great, and i'm sure any Wolf Hunt etc will be good too. Solas seems like he has a ridiculously huge part to play in the Dragon Age universe still.

Exactly. I haven't played Citadel but it's widely considered the best ME3 DLC, from what I've seen. Fanservice done right. How on earth would a Solas related dlc be 'fan service'? What would be DAI fanservice would be a Harding romance that I've seen a lot of people ask for. Adding it in just because people think she's cute. Continuing Solas' story is not that, even if fans are asking for it.

The lyrium stalactites scream underground to me…
Spoiler
Just wanted to point our that there is light in the chasm below the bridges in the DLC trailer and its the exact same color as the lighting above. So, either the inquisitor travels so far underground they end up in China on the other side of the world, or that area in the screenshot above is indeed very likely to be underground. The vegetation looks like its from the Emerald Graves (the trees) and the Arbor Wilds (the ferns in the bottom right), so I'm definitely expecting an elven connection. Like there was a settlement down there, via eluvian, or something. We might get answers to the connection between ancient dwarves and elves that's been hinted at previously.
Still super extremely excited for this! Even if I will likely get my butt kicked repeatedly trying to get down there to check it out. lol
I believe they're separate from the Legion.
Hmm. I might stand corrected, then. My memory is kinda choppy about their specifics. I know they also follow the ways of the Paragon, Aesyth the Grey, for what that's worth.

I believe they're separate from the Legion.
Yeah. I believe Legionnaires can't live in cities any longer. In DAO, there were two silent sisters in Orzammar. So silent sisters aren't part of the Legion. My c*appy explanation. ![]()

Unfortunately his arc will not be resolved in a DLC, they are preparing whatever he is doing for another game, just like Morrigan.I think it's a bit presumptuous to assume that a DLC featuring Solas would be made purely out of fan service. I mean, they were clearly setting up a new story arc with the epilogue scene and that story has to be addressed at some point.

They can't clarify their secrets in the DLC, they will probably do the same as they did with Witch Hunt, he will say some mysterious crap, the people who romanced him will be reunited, he will be unkillable and nothing you do will change anything in the next game.
We don't know if the Solas will be involved in that DLC, people are speculating it, but in no way granted.
And just because I don't want a Wolf Hunt DLC doesn't mean I'm against people wanting it, I was just responding a person who said "people want Wolf Hunt DLC", but some people can't respect others opinions.

And thats good for you and I never said you are stupid.Fan service (ファンサービス, fan sābisu ?),fanservice, or service cut (サービスカット, sābisu katto?), is a term originating from anime and manga fandom for material in a series which is intentionally added to please the audience. It is about "servicing" the fan – giving the fans "exactly what they want".
I want more story about:Spoilerand Bioware is giving me, a fan, exactly what I want.
That is what fanservice is, actually. And that's what they are giving the majority of fans. DLC that may possibly clear up some end-game questions. What YOU define fanservice is: Giving the stupid fangirls a story about their stupid LI they won't shut up about, and that's kind of sexist. I don't understand what people's issues are with fanservice is anyway. Aren't we fans? Shouldn't they want to please the fans?
You should not worry, BW will give you what you want.
Still I don't want a another Witch Hunt like DLC, I romanced Morrigan in DAO and found that DLC was bad, they didn't add anything and was just a fanservice to reunite Morrigan and the Warden, nothing more came from that DLC.

I wonder if the new optional gameplay mode is the power sink they've mentioned working on for forever now. Also, by the looks of things the last DLC will have a bunch of story content that doesn't seem like fan service at all, including a qunari invasion, information about the Fade, and the chance to decide the future of the Inquisition as an organisation.
It's a shame that we'd have to wait until December to have an extra outlet for all that power.

Apart from introducing the Eluvian stuff, which was then continued in DA2 with Merrill, in The Masked Empire with Briala, and with Morrigan again in DAI (and I bet we have much more to learn about them). Honestly, WH wasn't my favourite DA dlc , but there was more going on than just reuniting the characters I think (I never romanced Morrigan, so the romance stuff was irrelevant to me anyway).
