Anyone tried asking Mr. Laidlaw about the Level Cap? I don't Twitter.
It would be a major drag to do the entire thing and not gain any xp for it.
I think Hrungr did. No answer.

I also tried asking Mike, though I got no response.
I wouldn't expect good things on that front.

I think I might be able to squeeze in the MP Stream.
I'm at Hissing Wastes with my Rogue, so hopefully I'll be done with JoH by the time the DLC goes live in the afternoon/evening for us UK'ers lol.
But I'm currently farming Fade-Touched Silverite, just got 2 that give 5 Guard in the space of 15 minutes, considering people farm for hours with no avail, I'll take that as the Maker's blessing!

If I recall correctly, if you were to use one 5 Guard for armor, and a 3 Guard for weapon, they should stack. Pls get confirmation.
Now back to our scheduled program....
I looked that up, but you are correct, they stack if the Guard given is different for each.
But yes, anyway. The Youtube video for the DLC says we'll be solving one of Thedas's greatest mysteries.
I wonder which mystery they'll be throwing our way. I'm hoping for something Old God related, but at the same time, I wouldn't mind something to do with the Forbidden ones.
The remaining one I recall is The Formless One. So maybe the forgotten Dwarves found some way to imprison them with Lyrium or something.
Or maybe something to do with Arlathan. Bah, speculations, speculations everywhere!
Can someone confirm you can only make one superb cleansing rune? Limited number rev. hearts?

You can buy some in Frostback Basin. There's one rift in Exalted Plains (in the western part) where one revenant always spawns. I never close that rift. Kill the revenant take his heart and do it again.
I wonder if this or some other DLC will give us a hint about how to strengthen the veil world wide so that there are no more rifts anywhere. The nature of lyrium could tie into that, since (according to Cole) lyrium allows templars to make the world "more real" and "reach for something older" that leaves "no room for magic". And the continued presence of rifts around the world, even after the closure of the breach, is a major problem. Maybe we'll find out how to strengthen the Stone (and lyrium) or something and this will be a step towards fixing that. Otherwise, the Inquisitor is gonna be very busy travelling the world, sealing each rift one at a time, for basically the rest of his/her life... >_>
I have a feeling the coup de gras regarding this problem will be in a wolf hunt DLC, but we can get hints here. Like Leviathan added hints after the fact about the source of the reapers.

Love this advice. ![]()
Though it makes me feel like a not particularly responsible Inquisitor. lol

I
you.
Well don't they pipe lava down there to keep the tunnels warm and lit?
This is kinda an amusing concept because:
1. The lava would rapidly melt the pipe. Or more "instantly". And it would then back up and start coming out somewhere you didn't want, which would basically be "anywhere, including the place you thought you wanted it".
2. The heat would be so immense that nobody could get at the flow.
3. It would also fill your cavern with toxic fumes.
Lava be bad ****, yo.
In my headcanon all that orange glowing crap you find to mark "this be a cave, yo" is, in fact, glow stick chemicals mixed with corn syrup. I'm not sure where they got the corn syrup. Perhaps there was a bumper crop and the Orlesian Agriculture Ministry dumped it all down a hole to keep the price from tanking. Next thing you know Orzammar is a sticky mess, the Agriculture Minister is getting angry letters from Bhelen's dad (or would, but he keeps sticking to the paper every time he tries to write), and they make the person who figures out how to make it into a bunch of decorative lava lamps into the newest Paragon.
I call this the Sticky Paragon Theory.
Oh Hell Yeah, #DragonsNDonuts LIVE 10am PST http://twitch.tv/bioware come watch @ehlien eat poutine chips. #daimp
The rift in the Fallow Mire (in the circle near where Widris can be found) is closer to a fast travel point, and there are no enemies in the way (I'm not sure if there are any rifts where the revenant spawns in the first wave; I don't think so).You can buy some in Frostback Basin. What if it's an enchanted lyrium* pipe with 100% fire resistance? This is kinda an amusing concept because:

As has been made clear from this thread and a thousand others, people will find any excuse to be bitter and unhappy.
Everyone: "I want trees!"
*everyone is provided trees*
Everyone: "Those trees aren't green enough!"
"Those trees aren't tall enough!"
"I wanted PINE trees, not OAK trees!"
It'd be funny if we run into Sandal and Bohan down there in this DLC, especially since Sandal's VA teased something a few months back
Val Royeaux 'Citadel' DLC.
Val Royeaux 'Citadel' DLC.
If we get to see more of Val Royeaux I'll take it
I wonder if the new optional gameplay mode is the power sink they've mentioned working on for forever now.
It's a shame that we'd have to wait until December to have an extra outlet for all that power.
Sorry, what is this referring to? Both the 'new optional gameplay mode' and something coming in December? Dang thread moves so fast it's hard to keep up...
The survey DLC introduces some new high-difficulty optional gameplay mode. There's no real details beyond that.Sorry, what is this referring to? Both the 'new optional gameplay mode' and something coming in December? Dang thread moves so fast it's hard to keep up...
My first thought about the "new difficulty" mode was that they might be adding MP's Heartbreaker difficulty to SP.
Everybody here - including the devs - know what type of DLC many people demand. It appears however that to create such DLC they simply need time. And - to be frank, if they take their time to create something great, then I'll patiently wait.
Meanwhile, I am happy that I will soon have something more to do (and more stuff to speculate about, especially lore-wise, I assume), while knowing that they're still not done with DAI.
How cute, you just did exactly the same nonsense. What are you going to explain next? That the earth is not the center of the universe? People here are adults we understand how things work just fine. Except that this is just not the case, yes time is needed but the same time they put into JoH they could have used for Wolf Hunt. They have a plan about DLCs, stories they want to tell or products they want to sell, I couldn't care less, because that is also NOT the point here that you totally missed...
So I will try again...
Despite having or not a good reason for not releasing what fans want, you think fans should not complain while being ignored? That's it. Perhaps you think so, perhaps you think everybody should be happy with reaching level cap and getting boring with a main quest that lasts 2 picoseconds IF you do companions quests to extend this game life.
I don't think people should be happy because YOU are happy. It is always the same right? People who get what they want complain about the complaints of people who don't. Funny isn't it? Would you like people ignoring your complaints? Or you are Elhanan Mark II and think everybody should accept whatever Bioware does because Bioware is so amazing? (In fact I think even Elhanan is waking up, but I'm not gonna put my hopes on it)
@user@BioMarkDarrah DAO remastered in the frostbite engine sometime in the (far) future. Likely or not?
Mark Darrah@BioMarkDarrah: .@user no plans right now. It's hard to build the business case because it's hard to estimate both costs and probable sales
Y'know... if we had a toolset... the fandom could just make it themselves.
Had Bioware ever remade games? I know the enhanced Baldur's Gates are not theirs.
