@[user] Date move and platforms were the big news. We'll get more detailed info out later this year.

...Jesus...
They've been hyping up this reveal for 9 months and this is all we get? For months perhaps? And people said I was out of line when I said development was behind schedule.

And He said unto them 'Truly, I say to you, no prophet is welcome in his hometown.' Luke 4:23-24

Updated the OP with the Inquisition helmet logo, since the game is no longer called "Dragon Age III".

(The iconic Inquisitor helmet seems oddly similar to the concept of an iconic dragonborn helmet)

Trailer was very interesting, enjoyable and gave us plenty to chew on. I can't disagree that it was overhyped however. I feel that they've shot themselves in the foot with the builup.

Agree :/ I was hoping for a gameplay demo at least.

To be fair, the degree of buildup was largely of our own making and choosing due to our crazy stalking of the devs. One didn't have to lurk on this page several times a day if one didn't want to. :)

I hope all of the fun tweets don't stop. There is still so much speculation we can do!

Wrong. Mike Laidlaw said that the reveal would sunstantial, substantive, and would "leave no room for questions." That is exactly what the reveal wasn't. The only question it edged out was how valid the surveys were. Of course, that also points yet another lie from BioWare. I'm not going to make a big thing out it, But they consistently lie about their games during development when they don't need to say anything at all. We really can't trust anything they say to be accurate.

While i enjoyed the trailer and got quite suprised at the release date. Figured spring 2014 but not fall. I still feel that after 9 months of waiting just this one trailer is a bit.. meh

Will take a while to process everything, hope i feel less meh about it all when i'm done

I think it was due to the short time frames all of the games had during the EA conference, but I would have loved to see actual gameplay.

It's possible something went horribly wrong that they would delay the game a whole year. So maybe they couldn't have the substantial reveal we were told of. But I don't know, things like the "shift of focus" happened like a year ago, so they must have known for a long time.

Gotta say though, I LOVED that the Inquisitor at the end of the trailer is not "set" and just a hooded figure.

Edit: and the Masked Empire is a prequel to DAI after all.

Ah yes, now I got really excited about the book aswell.

To be fair, there is still more from Bioware later. Since it's one of those things that is actually listed, they may spend a bit of time on more information.

Good point!

We really should've seen this delay coming, in hindsight. It never made sense to have a book coming out six months after the supposed launch window of the game.

DAI is /that/ pretty, friends. Biased, yes, but every time I jump in, I go ooooh. And I don't go ooooh very much as a rule.

I doubt the lack of more information had anything to do with the amount of time they had to show the game during E3. If it'll only be released on fall 2014, I wouldn't expect an actual gameplay so soon.

Anyway, I loved the trailer and the fact DA:I will be cross-gen. I'll play it on my PC, but if it'll run on Xbox 360 it means my PC will be able to run it as well!

Still have DA2 to play, so it's okay with me. Though at first glance it looked more like Inquisition has more to do with DA1 than DA2, thematically speaking (well, I might be totally wrong since I haven't played DA2 yet and I'm saying that mainly because Morrigan is back and the reason she was away was, well, what happens in this game?).

:o Aw man! *sobs* Fall 2014????? *headdesk* :crying: Gah! Waiting sucks :pinched: .....Oh well, with the book coming I guess we'll have something to look forward to that'll keep us somewhat satiated until DA:I.
I just watched the trailer; intriguing, very interesting (Varric! Morrigan! Cassandra!)...I wish we could've seen a bit more though...obviously :P. Still, can't wait to see more DA:I stuff!

An interview with Aaryn Flynn on Gametrailers.

It doesn't sound like there'll be any new info, though - that trailer seems like the extent of what they're going to announce today.

Mike Laidlaw ‏@Mike_Laidlaw 8 Jun@[person] Stolen throne sets up Origins. Calling sets up Awakening. Asunder is fallout from DAII. Masked Empire...well, you'll see.

...confirmed it for me. Looks like that book will cover more than some court intrigue.

i have to agree, so underwhelming, all I can do is hope this isn't actually the whole reveal. A little sad, that the thing was not as I thought, but it happens. You seem to have been right BasilKarlo
