@Mike_Laidlaw The Descent left me hungry for more. Any chance DA:I will get a Lair of the Shadow Broker style DLC?

Mike Laidlaw ‏@Mike_Laidlaw
@user We're not quite done with DLC, so anything is possible.

@user: @PatrickWeekes are there clocks in Thedas?

Patrick Weekes@PatrickWeekes: @user Going by real-world history as analogue, my ASSUMPTION is primitive mechanical clocks exist in Thedas. @BioMaryKirby might confirm.

@user: @PatrickWeekes @BioMaryKirby Thank you!

There has to be, isn't like there bells going off once in a while at Skyhold?

Believe these were alchemical head-wraps that would change color at a certain specific time, crafted by the great Alexander; aka Alexander's Rag Time-Bands.

Bethany: Do you ever wish you lived in Orzammar?
Varric: Great Ancestors, no! You know what Orzammar is?
Varric: It's cramped tunnels, filled with nug-**** and body-odor.
Varric: And every person there thinks he's better than you because his great-great-great grandfather made a water-clock or something.
Bethany: But they're your people. Don't you even wonder what it would be like?
Varric: I have a good imagination. Why would I waste it on that?

I've never heard any bells! At the Winter Palace, sure, but no bells in Skyhold.

Also, aren't there naked lady clocks in Orlais ...?

I'd *like* to think this means they are working on (or at least experiencing) the party member freezing bug that is the bane of my Nightmare Inquisitor's existence... but I'm doubting it.

Yep.  ;)

Did a double-take the first time I heard them...

Speaking of which, were those *always* there or were they added/debugged in a patch? Cus I swear hadn't heard them before I installed Descent.

And now they have me wondering where the heck my belltower is...

It may be related to the Chantry garden (that's the only reason I could think of when bells started occasionally ringing off in the distance).

They've always been there.

I think the trick is you have to linger/idle for a long time before you'll hear them.

They've always been there (or at least for months). First time I heard them was ages ago, idling around the crafting stations for a good, long while.

Totally silly question but it just came up again in the Cullen thread: Now that spoilers / overinterpretation are less of a (1/2)

User

concern, would you be willing to share which (if any) of the Follower Foods y'all were teasing us with last winter was Cullen?(2/2)

User

(Also, I understand that this might not be *exactly* the kind of thing one might still have committed to memory over a year later.)

Brianne Battye @bbattye

haha ah yes. I believe he was shortbread...

I figured he would be shortbread after the little dialogue from Josephine where she's baffled about him liking biscuits made with butter and sugar. Given that shortbread is basically just butter, sugar and flour, I automatically said, "Oh, shortbread! You have excellent taste, Cullen. Excellent taste indeed." (I'm exceedingly fond of shortbread.)

Cameron Harris @camharr

If you don't mind a moment of egregiously nostalgic self-reflection:

Cameron Harris @camharr

I'm so very lucky and grateful for my life.

2007: BioWare fan at Mass Effect's PAX demo

2015: BioWare editor on Mass Effect: Andromeda

Cameron Harris @camharr

Dreams do come true, kids.

Cameron Harris @camharr

I also got inducted into the Grey Wardens on the last day of DAO's PAX demo. I still have the t-shirts from both events.

Cameron Harris @camharr

Yes. This guy in a Warden tabard and chainmail spoke the words, smeared goop from a chalice on my brow, and bam, in the Order.

User

no drinking blood?! I feel like you got seriously ripped off here

Cameron Harris @camharr

Preeeeeeety sure the event might've had something to say about that. Also, it was the last group on Sunday. Icky blood then.

John Epler @eplerjc

sometimes I wish I'd been Moderately Important when cool Dev cosplay was still a thing we did at events.

Mike Laidlaw @Mike_Laidlaw

I've told you how much that hurt, right? I mean, it was self inflicted, but still...

John Epler @eplerjc

gotta suffer for your art Mike.

Mike Laidlaw @Mike_Laidlaw

It was awesome and terrible all at once.
