Okay, I give. What's the deal with the monkey paw? I feel like I'm missing a very obvious joke here.

The Monkey's Paw was a horror story with a theme of "be careful what you wish for" The wishes in the story came true, in absolutely horrific manners which the wishee hadn't considered.

Well if they follow the same pattern of teasing any and all lore that could be referenced in the DLC like they did with the descent over the next few weeks then in theory we could get a release sometime in September.

Know Your Lore?

Ok, the DLC is coming. They're gonna hint it the same way like the Descent. Does anyone know how many hints we got after Know Your Lore for the Descent?

I feel so weird- like I'm super hyped about the content- I knew they were going to do that stupid know your lore stuff all week and keep everyone high strung, but I'm conflicted because of the super weird forum changes- even though I'm VERY glad to be rid of the stupid 'Scuttlebutt' title, that made me think of the Little Mermaid every time I saw it.

They are announcing new content at Pax on the 29th...so maybe a trailer then? and another week until release...maybe Sept 10-20th?

Well, if the lore is hinting at the dlc from the survey, that means it will be the last dlc. I'm kinda sad to see it end.

I will be very impressed if they can tie in the Qunari and Solas in 1 DLC.

Oh god. . . after the survey leak I was trying so hard not psych myself up over a qunari dlc, but now. . .

They need to get that DLC out quick if they want to calm things down in the aftermath of that big forum rearrangement. The new spoiler policy will turn this forum into a minefield.

A good (read: working) forum should never require people to actually use their brains. It is known.

As an aside, I'm so happy the DLC is on the horizon. I hope Sandal will pull a Witch Hunt and show up this time around, with or without bodies surrounding him.

The survey said 'Qunari' and 'confront the one who started it all'. So not the last dlc probably. Unless those two are 'fused' somehow.

I am unsure how to make Qunari + Solas work, but that is why Bioware has great writers and not me behind the desk.

 

So it is either going to be 2 DLCs with one seemingly quite close, or this next DLC could be the last one and we then await Dragon Age 4.

I decided to load DA2 up on a whim, and I feel bad because

It's just so exciting being Hawke again, all these feelings, and the experience I've had with DA2 are surging back up

 

But now I have to shuffle DA2 aside, and re-focus my attention on getting my Lady Adaar through to the end!

Well, that leaked survey is certainly looking accurate right about now . I look forward to finding out how the hell this ties in to the obvious dangling plot thread. (If it does. But if they're going to crop up in the same DLC ...)

I suppose we'll know if we see Elven Pantheon references. Or the black wolf animal codex if they're feeling cheeky. (Which I am sure they are.)

Yeah, I hope there is not just a random Solas appearance at the end. I am hoping he does something that makes the Qunari feel it neccessary to invade and set the stage for Dragon Age 4.
