Now I'm confused what does Skyhold have to do with the Qunari? Are they capable of invading with such force that they reach Skyhold? Or do we just finally get to fix everything?
Well there are a bunch of mysterious hints that there is more to Skyhold than meets the eye. Not to mention its the "place where the sky is held together" (or w/e) before we go there. I could understand that title after the Inquisition sets up shop, cus Breach-sealing, but before? I take that as an indication that its been significant in the past, maybe to the creation of the veil.
And definitely significant to ancient elves. See the chorus of the bard song, Once We Were, which says the ancient elves (I can't see who else that song is about if you read it) held the sky together:
Add the fact we have a temperate, fall-themed garden in the open air in the middle of snowy mountains, an undercroft (or was it the jail? both?) that our masons note as meant to house something "large", among other oddities. Plus Solas being the one to lead us there... Yeah, mysteries galore around Skyhold that I'd LOVE to get some more insight on.
I know you're all super-hyped right now (Hell knows I'm too!), but I'd like to remind you those new bard songs are supposed to be about the Elves and Scout Harding...so it really looks like a lot for a single DLC
I don't necessarily think the Qunari are attacking the Inquisition, but if they are, wouldn't it be epic if Harding stops an attempt on the Inquisitor's life and gets a song dedicated to her for it?
It happened with Citadel. (in that new locations, one permanent location, combat area, companion interaction..etc) why can't the same thing happen with Inquisition?
I'm honestly half afraid Citadel was a flash in the pan. I mean, it had special circumstances. That wasn't just a DLC capstone to a game. It was a DLC capstone to three games, that took a year to be released, and also wanted to make up for the sour taste left in people's mouths due to the endings (and the lack of Thane friendship/romance content, which was the other major sin of that game, imo, [even tho I'm Shakarian for life, personally]).
And Bioware delivered majorly. They brought their A-Game. But I do wonder if its too much to expect them to do it again?
I want something similar for Inquisition, but it hasn't been 12 months since launch, etc. There also isn't necessarily the impetus to appease fans that the ME team had, since DAI wasn't received nearly as badly. I want a Citadel-style DLC, as I've said many times. But I do think I'm gonna temper my enthusiasm (not my speculation, but my enthusiasm lol) b/c until they give us a 2nd Citadel, I think we can't legitimately consider that style of DLC a trend.
So...DLC with Qunari. Nice!
That is an awesome picture. I love it. Just missing [Redacted] looming hidden in the background in some capacity. lol
I'm wondering how big it could possibly be to only be priced at $15 USD.
I know I basically just said I was gonna try not to hold up Citadel as a model, but since we're all hoping the new DLC will be alike in content, just how much did Citadel cost at launch? I want to say $20, but I honestly don't remember.
I do think the price listed in the survey is low for what the survey seems to be promising. Nevermind what my imagination speculates the DLC could contain. lol I'd personally be more than happy to pay more than $15 if the content was bigger than JoH.
I would pay for a DLC which included a minigame wherein the Inquisitor used rocks lying around the hallways and grounds of Skyhold to repair the hallway in-between the war room and Josephine's office. I'd spend hours doing that. It could be like Tetris!
Or Wolf Hunt, whatever.
OooooooO I want to play Tetris with that wall too!
Er... doesn't a completed line of bricks in Tetris explode, though? >_>
