You know it's weird.

I'm grown, married, with a family, and a full time job- but there are still things I get emotionally attached to that end up being huge parts of my life in whatever weird way, and Dragon Age has been like that for me for a long time. Since I don't play Mass Effect, it's an especially long wait between games. These characters are like friends, however strange that sounds, and the world is as real to me as the world we live in. It's like how your favorite book is well worn, dog-eared, underlined, you could live it, breath it, quote it.

It's all ending and it's going to be a long time before it starts again.

For a mature Player, I can recommend the ME series for the story telling and humor.

I know. I hear it time and time again and I just can't get into the futuristic story lines- and not just this game, any of them in general.

GW2 was okay- but ESO is terrible. (In regards to people being awful to female gamers)

Weird. maybe it's a console thing. I'm not going to claim that I've met only fantastic people, but PC community of ESO is pretty cool - I've quite a few good friends playing that game.

Yup. Dragon Age games are like your favorite books. When you're done, you want them to keep going.

I know that feeling. There was three in particular, a trilogy, that when I got to the ending, it was right back to the start.

Spoiler

Books like that are rare, and I can relate as well to how BW's game feel like THAT book that you just can't drop.

Dragon Age: Inquisition Multiplayer Weekend Event (August 28 – 31)

ArticleHeader1.jpg

Mission: Combo Breaker (August 28 – 31)

Notice to All Inquisition Soldiers:

While the roads are safer thanks to last week's efforts, we must focus on strengthening the bonds between our operatives and soldiers. I want anyone in the field this week to practice honing your combined talents into something more than the sum of their parts. With, as Lady Josephine puts it, "such wide and diverse skills among our agents," teamwork is not only effective, it is essential.

—Commander Cullen

Agent Goal: Score 40 combos

Inquisition Goal:

PC/PS4/Xbox One: Score 50,000 combos

PS3/X360: Score 10,000 combos

Agent Completion: Agent awarded a Commendation Chest.

Inquisition Completion: All agents awarded a Victory Chest.

This weekend’s event begins at 10 am PST Friday, August 28, and ends at 5 am Monday, August 31.

Good luck!

The best part of ME storytelling is they do not throw a glossary of required words and terms at you. The settings fit in a contemporary way. I prefer Fantasy over Sci-Fi for this issue, and can say I have enjoyed the overall tale a lot. They do use more cut-scenes than DA, as well as a fixed character (ie; Shepard is much like Hawke), but the story itself is not rocket science.

And the trilogy is often on sale at Origin; includes a few DLC's for the first two games.

It's sad it's ending soon, but at the same time I'm excited for the closure we'll receive and then I can start DAO over and play it, DA2 and DAI and have some real fun with the story! I'm sure future DA games will be awesome, but to me this trilogy will always be the best, like the original Star Wars movies.

I will also recommend this game. Great story.

Given your physical "limitations", how did you play ME without a pause button?

Basically, I am looking for courage to eventually play ME, as my reflexes are dodgy at best. Playing Witcher 1 & 2 was difficult for me.

Someone find me some yoga pants with PINK across the ass and a pumpkin latte, that's how much I literally can't even.

I just need to know if there'll be a kill option when dealing with the one who started it all. If someone could ask them for me the day after the reveal I'd appreciate it!
