That's it?
next thing today is the magekiller sneakpeak afaik
#DAITrespasser The mark goes through an evolution and "there are new tricks for the Inquisitor." Will they affect your core game? "Maybe."
AHAHAHA YESSSS. I knew I was saving those talent points for a reason ![]()
Well, I'm nervous about a few things that can happen if Bioware assumes how players will want the romance to go. For example, since my main romance is Josephine I am afraid of two things. First, that if we romance her they have it so they've become sexually intimate, and second that if not romanced during the two years she and Rainier get into a relationship.
If they were to have marriage be an option, I'm sure it wouldn't happen without the player choosing the option.
I thought so. I believe they wanted the level of intimacy in Josie's romance to be left up to the player (like Solas), so it would be bad if they went back on that approach. As for the second point, as someone else said she may be married to Otranto(sp?).
Considering that we can't romance anyone else after it gets locked, nor break it? It's almost like marriage
And then there are two nobles in Skyhold alluding that marriage may indeed happen ;P
Yes, in practice. I mostly just meant they shouldn't assume "Oh, they locked the romance, they're getting married". Yeah, those nobles
I mean it's a natural thing for them to assume. I just hope that it can happen and we have input.
Edit: Mistake of intention

Felt @DragonAgeKeep was very successful, thinking it would be nice to continue, but can't confirm right now.

The mark definitely goes through an evolution
Okay, am I the only one who thinks that perhaps the last DLC of the games cycle is a teensy little bit too late for the mark to go through an "evolution"? But meh, cow goes "moo", dog goes "woof" and Phoenix goes "the Inquisitor should have been the core focus of the Inquisition."
But out with the grumpiness, little late is better than never! Yay hype! PLEASE SEPT 9TH BE HERE SOONER
Okay, so Kay @girltriesgames (User in the recent stream of tweets) has given the okay to use her name on the boards (I'll amend them shortly).

Well no, considering that it's not the first time the Mark goes through the evolution. First, we gain new Focus ability after Cory tries to yank it from our hand, then Inquisitor and Solas discover that the Anchor lets Quizzy (even dwarf one) sleep consciously with stark clarity Solas didn't expect even from mage Inquisitor.
Then there's ability to regain or absorb memories (+new ability from JoH), as well as Inquisitor discovering that he/she can yank the Orb itself from Cory's grasp during final battle...
So no, it wouldn't be the first evolution, even if the next step is far more drastic.

We will definitely have opportunities to talk, but may not be completely satisfied

The weird part of seeing player/reader perception of me as a writer is that I THINK of myself as the goofy lighthearted one.

I get what you are saying. Its just that barring DLC (incl. Jaws), there are very few Inquisitor-specific powers and abilities stemming from the Mark that feature in the plot. I mean yes, you do get the Mark of the Rift after Haven, but without spoiling anything, it gets disabled at a crucial moment when you would expect it to play a big part. And it is the only Inquisitor specific power we get (again, not including Jaws). Cinematic-wise, sure, stuff happens, but in terms of gameplay, the Mark and, by extension, the Inquisitor, are nowhere near as prominent as one would expect. Or I suppose it is just my opinion. Besides, there is still ways to go before the content drops and the drastic change is substantiated by the plot. I am sorry, Im mostly just rambling ![]()

Those were very usefull evolutions.
I really like the idea that the mark is becoming dangerous to the Inquisitor.
One of the first things the later Inquisitor learns at the begining of the game is that the mark is killing them and hurts a lot.
Later, they close rifts without the slightest sign of discomfort.
I would love that thing to become... more of a challenge.

Also Aegis of the Rift in JoH, and Quizzy learning how to open a portal to the fade in HLtA.
@davidgaider let Cassandra become divine even if romanced, and @SherylChee killed Hawke's mom, and I just do musical numbers, man.

Patrick. We haven't forgotten your crimes on Mass Effect.

Don´t see anything wrong with the first one... (I´m annoyed everytime someone writes what they did just to keep special companions for themselves because of romance and I admit I´m guilty of such behaviour too. But love doesn´t work this way, or at least it shouldn´t work this way...)...
but Hawke´s mom? That´s evil!
And Mordin, Weekes! That´s more than evil.... (Still a great moment for a great character. And help me god, if I ever happen to be in his situation, I hope, I have his balls.)
Patrick. We haven't forgotten your crimes on Mass Effect.
Preach it gurl! Preach it FOR THE FEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEELS!

Exactly. HE KILLED MORDIN.
Any news when the patch will be out? Kind of hoping it won't be the day before DLC because I'll be done my current PT by then
I haven't heard a release date yet, but I'm hoping it'll be the day before too...

I hope so too. I want time to check out Nug and wardrobe.
*silently hopes for patch to drop this week*

In fairness: Comedy magnifies tragedy. So, "this is 99% lighthearted!" actually makes the 1% sad worse.
Patrick Weekes @PatrickWeekes
Okay, fair. I think Terry Pratchett has made me cry more than any other writer.
