We don't know anything about customisation yet, and there are probably a lot of other things they're going to talk about in detail before we get a look at hairstyles (like the story, the characters, the protagonist, the setting or the gameplay O___O)
This.
But to answer the realistic vs. wigs question: Morrigan's hair moves in the trailer. And since the trailer is said to be in-engine, one could deduce that moving hair is also a feature of the game itself. No guarantee though.

Could be exclusive for certain high importance cinematics.

But I'd personally rather have information on a dozen other questions before we even get to things as crazily detailed as hair animations. Graphical innovation and amazing effects on the next-gen consoles could be fascinating to see, but I'd much rather have an idea of the type of game we're even playing, first.

You really are a piece of work. Get off your sorry behind get the Da toolset and test out the cutscene creator. The effects in the cutscene creator are the effects you get in game, the faces are the in game faces, the models are in game models.
Let me ask you this, do you think that all the cutscense from the last two games were no tactual game footage? they were in the game, thus they were actual game footage.
What does the DAO toolset have to do with anything? What do scenes from previous games have to do with anything? And what's more ridiculous, believing that a game 16 months away from release is already that gorgeous and polished or thinking that the debut trailer was prettied up to make a good impression?ElitePinecone wrote...
I think that, possibly, getting anxious about trailer footage not matching up to the final product a year and a half before release
is pushing the boundaries of being reasonable. We have literally
nothing else with which to compare that, so wondering about the truth of
what was shown is a bit premature at this point.
If live
gameplay looks nothing like that (whenever they show it), then I think
you'd have grounds for claiming it'd been manipulated.
I'm not anxious at all. I just don't believe that the game is already looking that polished and gorgeous if they still need 16 months or more to finish it. It makes no sense.
Have you seen the leaked images of BF4 alpha?
There is entire maps still all white, with no textures at all, and they are less than 6 months from release.
But still they had a big and function map, to show at E3.
Development don't walk even on all fronts.
They don't start and finish all maps at the same time.
It is normal to have some parts, dungeons, characters ahead of others.
Leaked images!??!

Once again, what you saw in BF4's demo wasn't the actual final product? Are that much of a narrow-minded person? It's NOT the final product, and yet it look amazing and better than most games that I've played at E3. You don't know jack ****. 99% of the games you saw at E3 won't be the final representation of the acual retail game.
And I've been played Battlefield 3 for a very long time, the animation isn't choppy seeing as Battlefield 4 uses the same animation but more smoother. Again, you don't know jack ****. Your accusations are full of BS.
And even if the animation was choppy and having low-fidelity assests and grey-ness of textures to cover-up, that's to be expected from a product that is yet NOT FINISHED? UNDERSTOOD? Do you comprehend what people are telling you? Or were you oblivious to the facts to hate on something.
FACT 1: Frostbite engine is a cutting-edge technology and one of the most powerful engines out there, I've said it a thousand times. Just by look at other games, there's no comparison except for the Red engine used in The Witcher 2 and The Witcher 3.
FACT 2: Battlefield 3 still looks better than most games, the PC version specifically, and it's a 2 years old game that used the Frosbite 2 engine. One can only imagine what the Frosbite 3 could do, and we've seen a lot of games using the Frosbite 3 engine at E3 that's the most impressive and powerful than any other, with the exception of a few engines here and there like the Red Engine and the FOX engine.
FACT 3: The trailer of DA:I IS the actual in-engine visuals. Battlefield 3 and Battlefield 4 has amazing character models, so I believe Bioware can pull it off.
I believe that your accusations are BS due to the fact that you haven't seen any footage regarding Battlefield 3 or Battlefield 4. Have you seen the single-player aspect of the game? Again, as I mentioned, the single-player will always have better visuals than the multiplayer aspect of that game. Not just Battlefield, but even Uncharted and 99% of all video games that have multiplayer. Again, I suggest you zip it and wait.
I don't see why you're getting all jacked up, you probably have some sort of beef with the Frostbite engine in particular or Battlefield. I pity you, poor bastard.
You're trying to reason with someone who refuses to be reasoned with, so personally, I wouldn't bother trying - he seems to take every opportunity possible to accuse the devs of lying and whatnot. In any case, I watched the BF4 mutliplayer footage during E3 coverage - with all 64 people playing it - and the graphics were undeniably impressive.
Any reasonable person who saw both the BF4 footage and the DA:I trailer should be able to draw the logical conclusion that we can expect a similar level of graphics in the finished DA:I game since they employ Frostbite 3. It's somewhat disappointing that we haven't gotten a look at the game mechanics or more story details; however, the DA:I trailer at least gives us some indication of what we can expect visually from the game AND a peek at some of the returning characters.

This is, IMO, the biggest part of the trailer.
EDIT: Exciting, is probably a better word than biggest.

What do you base this on? If you're basing it on visuals, well then I ought to show you Final Fantasy (XV or the "Agni's Philosophy" tech demo), or Ubisoft's Watch Dogs or The Division. Any of those games (or, tech demos) trounce everything I've seen in Frostbite, bar none.
I'm just wondering what you're basing this on.

In my opinion it was the Fade breaching, and the fact that a dragon came out (or seems to came out) of it. Having dragons being sealed both above (the Fade) and under Thedas (the Deep Roads), could be used to support the theory of Fen'harel=Maker, considering that Chantry lore have some dragons being sealed. Meaning that human and elven lore retained some different part of history.
I'm not saying that this is what happened or Bioware is trying to make, but it certainly is good for speculate.
Though I admit that I'd never guessed that Morrigan was returning to DAI.

I consider Watch Dogs, The Division, and Battlefield to all be quite similar in the technical capabilities, personally. They all look pretty good.

It's different to judge an aesthetic. The style of The Division is probably my favourite, and I consider it a more pleasing game to look at, in part because I'm a bit more familiar with the setting and can greater appreciate the level of details. We all went "ooo" when he closed the door and whatnot (though that's not a graphical feature).
I'm hardly a graphics guru in terms of truly understanding the technical challenges, but can still recognize that a game can have an impressive engine, even if the visual style doesn't do much for me.
