I hope DA isn't ending after this game. I know this was never meant to be a trilogy per say but what could that mean? Will they reboot the series in a sense with a new theme or something?
What is concluding?

Flemeth has been operating behind the scenes for many years, orchestrating events and manipulating important people at opportune times to make possible some unknown outcome. My guess is that Inquisition is the fruition of what may be a centuries-long plan to remake Thedas into her vision of what it should be.

That line just mean that the game will have an ending, not that it is the last game.

I doubt that the will be delayed that long. That would put it for December 2014 release instead or close to Jan. 2015. I am guessing end of September mid-October release.ElitePinecone wrote...
The game is a year and a half away, and a demo certainly more than a year away, I doubt Bioware even know what the PC system requirements are going to be yet.

One thing that the Inquisition teaser unquestionably had/has over ANY other game we've seen is the realism of flesh. The flesh we saw, especially on the Kossith, has a realistic translucency that NO other game has displayed. As much as everyone keeps saying "Battlefield 4 looks even better" I have to wonder who was actually paying attention. Battlefield 4 showed very impressive particle physics and lighting effects but it did not have flesh even approaching what we saw in the Inquisition trailer. Compare them side by side. It's not even close. Inquisition looks better, hands down.
I'll be honest, I didn't think it looked that good at all.
Now, that doesn't bother me, because I don't play DA for the graphics. But still.

Oh, that would be great.
(usual disclaimer, now with added Word of Gaider, that the survey info could be inaccurate)
The Iron Bull is a long way from home, and prefers it that way. A slap in the face of typically humorless Qunari, he loves drinking, killing, and looting-not necessarily in that order. The head of a vicious mercenary company, he’s known for excellent pay and brutal punishment. It’s been a ten year party, but the Bull may find that old loyalties die hard.

Not everything is a conspiracy, and sometimes a dev telling you "things change during game development" is just that.

I don't think the survey info is gonna be all that accurate personally. For the simple reason that idea's change. It's called the development process for a reason. The overarching ideas will probably still be there though. Like the Tear.
Everything in the trailer was right in line with the survey. Nothing in it didn't fit. We even got a Kossith with bull-like horns, for crap's sake.
It makes perfect sense that they want us to forget about the survey. They don't want us to know as much as we know. But we do know it. Saying, "yeah, sure, the survey is right about everything so far, but that's just so far." seems a little silly. What was in that trailer was up to them. They made it. If the survey was only a little right wouldn't they have shown that? If the story isn't exactly what it appears the survey says it is how did the trailer get it so wrong? Maybe a character or two got cut, but clearly the survey was not a red herring.

Funny, I don' t remember any elven archer named Sera or a Tevinter mage called Dorian in the trailer.
BasilKarlo said that everything present in the trailer was present in the leak, not that everything present in the leak was present in the trailer.
Though even then, I don't think Varric and Morrigan were present or hinted in the survey.

Eh. I'm not saying the survey was a red herring, cuz it clearly wasn't. I'm saying that people who expect everything to line up exactly (same companions, looks, castles, whatever actually was in the survey cuz I don't even remember) are clutching at straws. Ideas change. Not massive stuff like the Tear because that's the kind of thing a story is built around but details, sure. Which is why people get pissy when it turns out the game isn't actually like that.

Sure, a mismatch between expectations (even if they're unrealistic) and the reality of the eventual game can be an issue. That's why there was the idea of showing rather than telling, apparently.
It was rather bemusing at the time of the survey 'leak' that by far the most amount of information we had about the game up to that point was discovered through a marketing tool that was ostensibly 'secure', but in practice would leak everywhere as soon as a rabid DA fan was selected to participate. Half a year or more later and the survey *still* tells more about the game - even in a vague form, and even if specifics can change - than the trailer or all the developer hints of the past year, yet it was never intended to be for public consumption beyond the anonymous market-research users who qualified to participate.
So while I don't think anyone is justified in freaking out if parts of the survey don't end up being accurate (because it was never actually intended to be released), I also can't fathom why whoever was in charge of the marketing was throwing around game assets and the plot summary on third-party marketing websites, months if not a year before they would actually reveal that information. Given that it predictably leaked, I can't really fault people for clutching at that as the only really interesting thing we'd heard about Inquisition for years.
It was (and is) a little frustrating that quasi-solid details existed and were being used for marketing/consumer testing/research purposes when the devs were saying nothing could be revealed yet to the public.

Okay, speaking as someone on the DA development team, this was an absolute joy to watch:
I still believe that the first few words, the "I've seen", are using Kate's voice. The "of this war" and afterward is clearly Claudia's.

Surveys are a way to see if some ideas are appealing to a target group and see their interests. The reason why it's not made public is because these thing are in flux. All the proposed companions could be NPCs now. Cassandra is wearing a different look (based on another concept art). Feature could have been dropped or changed in scope. The story could have been changed (the survey doesn't mention dargons darkening the sky for example).
The solid stuff we have, we already knew from DA2 and Asunder (Orlesian civil war, Mage/Templar war and the Chantry being on its knees). Hell, even the Inqusition was hinted at in DA2 official guide and by Gaider in interviews.

This is all true, but the survey was related to marketing, not game concepts. The parts that had respondents highlighting sections of plot summaries that they liked or disliked wouldn't (IMO) have led to the plot being changed, but would've influenced the way the game was pitched in marketing and PR campaigns. The character art that people thought 'looked cool' would've featured heavily in trailers, and the features they liked would be the ones most heavily emphasised at press events.
I'm skeptical that things like companions were in such flux a year into development, especially when we know they were doing auditions and recording voice actors over a year ago in the middle of 2012. I'm also skeptical that marketing teams would even bother researching consumer attitudes to companions, game features or a story that could all change significantly - what's the point in finding out what people think of a character concept for marketing purposes if it - or something very like it - is not going to be used?
Point being: *some* amount of concrete information existed at least in August/September last year, and that information is still more than has been publicly revealed even now. I mean, we knew a potential name for the game was "Dragon Age: Inquisition" about a month before they even officially announced it.
