Is it just me, or has anyone else noticed that this thread has been more quiet than it's ever been? After we have info lol.
The devs haven't been tweeting anything game-related. I expect they'll continue to be pretty quiet for a long while.

Heck Priestly killing expectations, saying just because a "developer" goes to a conference or convention doesn't mean he'll reveal anything new. Hey, way to temper that old enthusiasm. What do ya say ?
People will drift away to other sites to see about the year end releases.....The forum will be as silent as a desert night. Smiles.

And the fortress was used by renegade elves .
I'm probably really wrong ...but some fortified walls , unknown symbols ,and a nice prairie ain't really helping ...
Anyway , well thanks Wiedzmin182009 for the many links !

The Dalish seem more like guerrilla fighters to me.

Suddenly feel urge to have a creature in DA inspired by the dreaded Rainbow Mantis Shrimp: http://theoatmeal.co...s/mantis_shrimp …
Both beautiful and deadly. Very cool.
On another note, I would really like to explore the fortress-y place in that pic. Very nice. I wonder if it's our base camp?

They're sending Chris, Cameron Lee and the Weekeses to PAX Australia, but the one panel they're doing is just billed as a chance to talk about Bioware generally, it's not DA or ME-specific as far as I can see.
I know Mike Gamble said they're sending some leadership people to Comic Con, but he's on Mass Effect as far as I know, so DA might not get a showing there. I know Gamescom is pretty big, and Bioware's games usually get some sort of appearance, but we are a very long way away from any releases this year.
The other thing to watch out for would be the EA Summer Showcase in August, it has trailers and a stage presentation too.
I posted this a bit ago, but in case people missed it:
[person]:
@Mike_Laidlaw thank you sir! are you going to be at comicon or dragoncon? your lack of E3 presence saddens me
Mike Laidlaw :
@[person] I don’t think I’ll be at either. PAX prime, most likely.

Stella-Arc, Because it's magic fire?
And, who, might I ask, conjured those magical flames? If the Templars did that then damn, they are the most ironic faction in Thedas. And if not then who ever decided to cast magical flames while in the middle of a Mage/Templar War needs to have their head checked. They should have gone full out and created a giant bonfire.

So...they're electrical? They are not blue and thus, not glow(ing) stones. And besides, you can clearly see smoke and the flales flickering to and fro.
Bah, whatever. Just my OCD kicking in. The magical fire bothered me in DAO during the attack on Ostagar as well.

Of course the forums are going to get quieter. That's what happens to them. They wax when games and info are released and wane in the inbetween times. This forum specifically has been more active than ever before, as you'd expect. It will also taper off, as you'd expect. People have short attention spans in general, luckily when you show them nice, shiny exlosions they come running back. Which is why marketing teams are oh so dandy.
So yeah. Not really sure what you're getting at.

That was amazing and might be scarier than the monstrous spiders in DA2. I don't like things with more that 4 legs and that thing has them in spades. I'm staying out of the water this summer. Despide it's pretty colors, the mantis shrimp is heinous. I hope there are no ocean locations in future DA games.Quicksilver26 wrote...

With all due respect, this is NORMAL. Games do NOT come out immediately. The enthusiasm will pick up closer to its release. There will also be more promotion has time goes by. Games DO NOT come out immediately. Some of the games just release were announced 2-3 years ago.
