Yeah I wouldn't be surprised, though I'm surprised (pleasantly) how much breathing room ME: A is getting.
DICE gives BioWare some time, I'm sure, especially with Battlefront starting up.

Yeah, shareholders should be satisfied with this season's returns thanks to DICE. Battlefront looks poised to make a big, big splash.
Well, they did call it "an essential addition to the Dragon Age canon!"
And I don't think it's just part of advertisement. However the story of the comic goes, it will likely be canon for every world-state we can come up with.
Well, Cole was a character in Dragon Age: Asunder, and became a full companion for DAI. So it's at least theoretically possible someone from the comic could be a major character in the next game. Depending on where the storyline goes.
It's ongoing, which means it could likely continue on once DA4 is out. A single novel is not something that is ongoing. Asunder for example is semi-canon (Wynn isn't always alive). They wouldn't kill one of them off, or do something with a variable, if they plan to continue their story in the comics as cannon. They'd do something that either could be broadly referenced, or occurs the same every time.
i doubt it would continue past Da4's release, that's years away. I presumed 'ongoing' meant that it was a monthly/weekly publication through 2016 or so

Is there anything hidden in DA or its DLC'S that nobody got or caught that you felt sure fans would? Like easter eggs/etc.

Hi again! I know I'm fishing for a spoilers macro on this, but what happens if you were to make someone in uthenara Tranquil?

They get teleported into the mass effect universe, probably as a quarian.

would dragon age ever consider doing a collab with @telltalegames
Maybe! But those folks are crazy busy from the looks of things. So many good games coming out of TTG!
Turns out I will be at NYCC this October. Anyone I know going to be there?
User
will you be at a booth or just wandering? I'd love to say hi!
TBD, but I'll try and let you know when I do
I hope Bioware never does a collab with telltale. Their games are seriously overrated, and I can't even stand the thought of Mass Effect or Dragon Age being reduced to "stylized" (aka easy to develop) graphics.
I think I finally found a website that does wordlwide shipping for comics - FINALLY. Magekiller pre-ordered. So happy!
But yeah, I am not daring to even guess as to how long it will be before we see another Dragon Age. The fan part in me wants it as soon as possible, ideally yesterday, the realist is grabbing a pair of comfy slippers and opening a bottle of fine brandy, ready for a lengthy wait. There will (hopefully) be Mass Effect next year, after that...who knows? Truth be told, I am somewhat apprehensive about the new IP, thanks to words like "emergent gameplay" and "bring your friends" that have been thrown about with regards thereto. Still, the latest news indicates that it has some of the BioWare heavies at the helm, so that makes me intrigued...a little. Not enough to get my guard down, but a little.
Annual releases would be nice, but wow, who knows? May as well start throwing darts at a board and see what hits. Business by itself is an intense endeavor, and business done in a creative field? Where you have to deal with artists? That is insane. Nothing is ever set in stone in an industry like this. Not even the stone. Because, is it really a stone? IS IT?
I don't tend toward comics, but I'm enthusiastic to give this one an honest shot.

They could be an acquired taste. But the Mass Effect ones, for the most part, were not terrible, and this one seems to have some proper comic-book pedigree behind it, so meh, what the heck, may as well give it a shot, right? Although shipping is going to make my wallet cry.

So you get made Tranquil and when you come to, it is only to discover you are a quarian, of all things. Damn, that is one harsh hand to be dealt ![]()
(sorry for the double post)

Yeah. I've survived (and even, at times, really, really enjoyed) some of the Mass Effect comics. The Dragon Age ones, too. And the KOTOR tie-in comics, and the new Star Wars comics, and then... The Watchmen and... yeah, that's it. I'm such a comics newb.
What country do you live in, that makes it so difficult to get things shipped, if you don't mind my asking? Kinda curious now.

I guess Amazon is the best place to buy books and comics. They send almost anything to any place, right? And it's shipping is cheaper than most stores I know. Things From Another World is good too. The main problem here is the custom house (sorry, don't know if this is the most appropriate term), things vanish very easily there. This week my father just got delivered some things he bought back in 2013, haha. He didn't even remember about that.
Isn't that essentially what we got in DA2? In hhe menu and UI system at least.
True. But lets make sure that is the extent of it going forward.
Hrungr. I should not have read this article this early in the morning.
I saw "I am pleased to confirm that we are, in fact, working on the next Dragon Age game. Not a big surprise to most of you, I know. We have been working on it in some way for about two years now with the bulk of our efforts ramping up about 18 months ago" and started screaming. Then I saw that this was about Inquisition....
